I enjoyed that flight, thanks! You are lucky to be able to get straight into an area where you can do low flying. Good to see you taking advantage of it.
Nice flight! Are you planning to attend the Ken Brock fly in at El Mirage? I am planning to attend with my ATF Trike. Hope to get to say hello if you’re there. Ken Bond
Hey Henry. Chet Leach here from the New Mexico triker guys (Frank, Jeff and Paul). I met you at some of our NM flyins. I think I was flying my Butterfly gyro or my Rans S12 back then. I am thinking about buying ELA Eclispe Evo gyro to fly backcountry camping mostly. I don't know anyone who flies gyros backcountry camping like Dirty Devil or Mexican Mountain. Why is that? Modern gyros seem to be very capable. What do you think?
@@chetleach541 Hi Chet, not all gyros are for backcountry. Some have bigger tires like Magni M16 Extreme for that purpose. Gyro has a rear stabilizer and can be damaged on rough runway by gravels, sands kicked by prop or tires. Gyro can land with very short roll but takes more distance for take off.
Hi Henry, this is Jan Ferreira, i inadverenty posted a message intended for a guy looking for a job opportunity on you video on Facebook. I deleted the message. Sorry, no harm intended to you. I love your postings.
@HenryGyroLife I am doing great, I sold my Trike and miss the flying days with my buddies. It is so sad about Wes, that was a shocker to me. Other than that life is great, retired, playing competitive pickleball and love my Full Self Driving Tesla. Keep the Gyro videos coming.
Thats good. Wes’s accident shocked me too. That was my old trike I sold back to Larry. I enjoy flying my gyro a lot. i already flew over 700 hours and my total flight hours close to 2200 hours.
That was great Henry.

@@Calidus_Pilot yes, I’m lucky. Not many airports in Southern California have these conditions.

@@TrikeAdventures unfortunately, I have a family commitment of the weekend 😫

What would you recommend for a first gyro?
Something single seat or just jump right into the MTO?

@@HenryGyroLife Have you landed at any of the Utah backcountry strips?
@@chetleach541 I’ve never landed on dirt nor gravel runway. Few times on grass runway.
