“I wonder what the X shadow is supposed to mean.”
That’s just stadium lights my guy 😂
7:51 "The Ball isn't my friend" it is a reference about the OG football anime, Captain Tsubasa, where the protagonist always says that he treats the ball as his "friend".
For what it's worth: from the most recent world cup which happened after this was already being written, Lionel Messi actually is a World Cup champion now, taking Argentina to the finals and winning vs. France. Despite being 35 years old, Lionel Messi was also the Golden Ball recipient, which is the award given to the Best Overall Player for the World Cup as well as the Silver Boot award for 2nd most goals scored for that World Cup.
Thanks for the update from the real soccer world. Good for Messi for finally accomplishing that goal! Wow 35 years old and still training hard to achieve that goal
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000His biggest Rival Ronaldo is also still balling and managed to reach 900 career goals(Most ever by any player)he's also at the age of 39. Messi and Ronaldo are defying age when a good bit of thier teammates have either retired or restinging in lower divions
@@Flipcrashhonestly not surprised considering those two are some of the best of the best, the definition of an elite one in a million athlete. they’ll probably both push their career to their early/mid 40s
The voice actor for Barou is the same voice actor for Aomine from Kuroko's Basketball 🏀! So i think you'll appreciate that!
Oooo I'll have to listen for that. Thanks!
Kunigami's voice actor is the same as Kagami from Kuroko's Basketball.
No way! Loved all the haikyuu reactions coach! super stoked to see you reacting to Blue Lock!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Barou and Aomine have the same voice actor :)
Nice! We'll see if I can catch onto that.
Barou and Aomine are my 2 favorite characters in all of sports anime/manga and they’re both voice acted by the same people, love the blue lock vids keep up the great work
I love that you're watching this anime. The show just gets more insane in a good way as it goes on.
I never knew you were an animator! My main 2 interests are volleyball and art as well XD
yeah isagis evolution throughout the whole series and the manga is so amazing.
I have been coming and going from the channel from Haikyuu and now this. Glad to be back! 🎉
Welcome back!
the making soccer forme zero to one also meant that not only one play can create a whole plan for a team to score more, but also the other team has to create a strategy in order to counter that one play
For the record (and this isnt a spoiler, so don't worry), the only one who actually has a "monster" inside him is Bachira. Yeah, he's just kind of a weirdo. He thinks Isagi has one too, but no one else has anything like a monster inside of them and it is never alluded to or implied either.
They have X shaped shadows because there is a bunch of lights coming from all directions.
4 stadium lights, one at each corner yep
Thanks for the explanation
20:49 Fun fact, Messi won the world cup in 2022, shortly after episodes of blue lock were released so it's outdated as he led Argentina to winning as the best player of tournament haha
Yeah, but the events of Blue Lock take place right after the 2018 world cup anyway
@@KaiserBob99 Oh, I didn't know that lol
@@SethHarthyeah the manga's older than the anime
26:57 King Kazu, kazuyoshi Miura, is also a real player, being the oldest player, 57, that is still playing. He is in the second Japanese league.
he’s 57 and currently playing? that’s extremely impressive and no exaggeration to call a great feat; the human body’s ability to endure
Sorry, but Messi is not so much an “ego-driven” striker as you are thinking Coach. He is also famous for all his assists and playmaking ability, not only scoring
Tbh Messi's not comparable to anybody else. What he does on the pitch is not replicable by a normal human being. He's an exception
@@animarcs yeah, but just makes it worse to be there 😂. Just love how he plays
@@manueldelgado5336 yep lol. He's one of the most humble footballers out there. Even though he might have the sporty ego of a forward, he never wears it on his face. Humble 🐐
Coach, remember those haikyuu or Kuroko episodes where you try to guess whether they win or lose the game to a stronger opponent so that they can learn? Just remember that feeling while watching Blue Lock?
Igaguri catchin strays 😂
Fair play will go the player who receives the less card (ref card weight more against a player than the yellow one) from the ref
Bachira actually is one of my favorite characters in the whole show
VEGETAH - i choose you! lol what kind of pokemon is VEGETAH lol
Can’t wait for more episodes
Episode 4 coming out in the next couple of days!!
@@ElevateYourPowerLevel9000 can’t wait and would you ever consider watching baki
Sure, what's it about?
As you are well versed with animation, just saying that in a soccer arena there is lighting from every angle from above should be enough for you to know why the shadow is shown as an x, it's a small detail to show that well lit arena
Aaah thanks for the info...makes sense
Dont worry about the names coach. U will get at least 10 of them
the author actually worked on a horror / action manga before this! It got cancelled tho sadly
If it's more than 2-0 it's basketball
Fair play points = least amount of yellow and red cards
imo i always thought that one scene where isagi passed was him being smarter than everyone else on his team. isagi's team were all working to be the top scorer so if they lose, the top scorer could pass on instead of working on winning as a team so that no one needed to worry about making the most goals if they just beat all the other teams.
Except he's not trying for midfield. He should be passed to, not being the passer.
I think passing, even as a striker is fine because it is somtimes needed, but the thing here is that Isagi passed the ball because he was scared/he hesitated, and that’s not good
isnt the additional time all done by interns and up and comings
You can just pronounce Barou like borrow.
Got it. Thanks for the tip!
