As a teen I watched most Bromley home games till I moved to Margate. I lived in the Market Square and my second school was Ravensbourne School across the road from the ground. I went to Swindon with others when Bromley qualified for the TA Cup first round which was probably 1976 or 1977 (We lost 7-0). My heroes were Paul MCarthy and Junior Crooks (related to Grth Crooks apparently). I am so pleased not just for the players, but for the manager, and I hope to revisit Hayes Lane lots next Season. Well done to everybody, staff, coaches, backroom staff, players, sponsors, and supporters. I am a very proud Old Bromleian!

Very close game but Bromley deserved it in the end. Sad that one team had to lose but who knows what Solihull will achieve neaxt season. The Ravens owner, management, staff and players deserve all the credit they get! Bromley FC has become a shining example in our borough with a first class community presence and I'm certain the Council will arrange a suitable celebration of this historic moment. Long may it continue too!!
i think 2 up (1st + 2nd), 2 down (23rd +24th), then a smaller playoff for 3rd and 4th to play the team that finished 22nd in lg2 for a relegation playoff

Time for 3-up, 3-down between League Two and the National. Both these fine sides have presented an excellent case. An even better idea would be for the National to become League Three. I wish Bromley all the very best next season.
I disagree, as I feel it should be difficult to gain your 'golden ticket' to the football league. It's a real privilege to be a member of the football league and something that is not easily achieved or lost. Saying that, I'm so pleased for these lesser known clubs to join the other 72. My local team, Worthing, have a chance today to reach the National League for the first time.
As a Walsall fan it does make me chuckle that the two ex-Walsall players missed their penalties, though it would've been nice to have another Midlands team to play next season. Congratulations though to Bromley, welcome to The Football League!

Congratulations to Bromley being promoted to the Football League for the first time in their history, and commiserations to Solihull Moors. Hope Solihull can come back stronger next season and gain promotion to the Football League.

Bromley has MASSIVE potential as a football club: They have a potentially huge catchment area for a fan base. Bromley is the biggest borough in London with the second highest population (340,000). To put that into context, that’s a bigger population than Newcastle (290,000). Then there’s the wider area of Kent which basically has no other teams except Gillingham, and of course the surrounding area in south London / south east London (Palace, Millwall and Charlton are the only other nearby clubs). If I was an investor or a billionaire looking to buy a club, I’d buy Bromley!
@@thuikippl5034Yeah but London has such a large population that clubs can suddenly magic up fans if they’re doing well. Forest Green could’ve been so much bigger if it was based in London
