I used the tayga and bolloon tyres with a sideboard semi trailer and absolutely flew through these slate mining missions. I think with all the added content and truck we now have people have forgotten how good the OG trucks actually are. Although the twinsteer is OG lol
Sheer Madness! Nice work Nathan, On a knife edge at points there! If anyone is interested, for the curiosity/challenge: I managed to get the RWD only Twinsteer across the bay to the island in White Valley, Far south-west corner. If you go left immediately out of the garage, then take the second right path(just after where the road starts the long u-turn back on itself towards the airport) shortly the small bay appears on the left, enter the bay and stay to the left in the water where it is shallow and follow it around the headland. Once around the headland and after the next small concave bay section the coastline running south has a small triangle shaped promontory which is pretty much in line with the northernmost tip of the southwest corner island, just after this spot there is a slightly shallower underwater path leading south west-west which if followed carefully in low/low- you can use to sucessfully cross the bay, the Twinsteer's cab will float and the rear sinks allowing a successful crossing. It's been awhile since I did this and I can't remember if I had 63's on it at the time but I definitely had the tall wedge cap snorks. There were a couple of failed attempts rendering it pretty much unrecoverable by other trucks, so I don't recommend trying it in Hard Mode. But it's quite a fun challenge, spoiler: there seems to be no hidden goodies out there, although looking back there may be an easter egg I may have missed or not noticed.
Very impressive driving! I'm trying to get better with the twinsteer with 63's. It did prove to be a great help in Yukon going through all the mud. With the JAT 63's its tolerable if you don't have slate blocks or containers on the bed I feel.
hey, i noticed just now, do you remember the video you made about the best tires? Do you think you could do one for the JAT tires too? Would be amazing if it was taken into consideration not having AWD or DIFF (or both?) unlocked yet, or some trucks straight up not having one or the other, or both available. This vehicle specifically (but i'm sure all the others too) seems to struggle a lot with the AWD not being available up until a later time in Russia. Thank you for your time and your videos
I made a JAT tire review where I had comparisons of the jats vs the OG tires and my thoughts on them. So I actually don’t think the Twinsteer struggled without AwD. Folks have used it for world record runs prior to that upgrade on contests. It’s actually a testament to how capable it is
As explained on my mudrunning tips video, Diff Lock is quite powerful, especially with weight on wheels. I locked DIFF here for 2 reasons, to save gas by turning off AWD while retaining good perfomance without the AWD penalty for fuel consumption & Diff forces power to axles, especially rears when toggled on. IMHO Diff Lock is on of the strongest things in this game. Performance with and without diff activated is very eye opening.

Ya, the tayga is strong!. Tayga Pretty much handles whatever you set it against. Twinsteer is the OG but a very tippy OG

@@majidpro9777 i dont think its economy is to bad becouse its fast. Uses a lot but you cover distances so quick with it. Still one of the best imo

ooooof, i never use raised suspension on the twinsteer, 55" tires and stock clearance are more then enough.... and it does not become the tipsteer.

Indeed with the JAT MHS tires it does make it a tad better to manage its balance compared to a single narrow track. Twinsteer is just a crazy truck
I guess the key to success is to have awd. Both times I tried to enter that quarry I didn't.
I think some folks survived without AWD in there, but in my opinion, AWD is needed I would say
