True. certainly not today.... Years ago if you put in the work and work smart you would grow big as a creator. Pretty much a guarantee. Today however, it's pretty much a guarantee you won't grow big, no matter what you do... That's the simple reality in a world where there's just soooo much content! It's a simple numbers game.
@@bbreak that is such a pessimistic view and not true at all. people still do quit with no job but they have a strong strategy in place. if you have the calling and no serious responsibilities you can do that. yes social media is a numbers game but what makes or breaks your experience is your content strategy. there's room for everyone at the table
@victoriaveeart it's a realistic view coming from someone with a degree in marketing and a degree in computer science who has been creating content for around 8 years now.
With a perfect strategy, perfect content, perfect thumbnails, etcetera it's still quite likely you will never grow big these days. That's just simple facts. Starting a business starts with a dream while still having realistic expectations.
thank you for your video. I have a small youtube channel, trying to grow it. Its super hard in the beginning, when you dont know what you are doing and also you have no feedback from anyone so you are basically shooting in the dark with all your videos, relying on yourself to keep motivating yourself.

I'm literally no where near this point yet (juggling two jobs as well as creating content, not fun!), but this is so good to know! I'm from the UK too, it would be really useful to know how to set up all the business things that come along with being a full time content creator (for future reference!) such as setting up an LLC, sorting taxes, any legal things, accounting etc! I think that sort of stuff isn't talked about much, even though being a content creator is a business! Maybe this is something you could add to The Collective in the future? LOVE your content Jade and I've been loving your content in The Collective! ❤

Im just gonna say that it’s thanks to you and Millie that I understood this was exactly what I wanted to do with my life and that gave me the courage to leave my corporate job.
And it’s because I just resonate with you as a person, regardless of all the other content creators of this niche. That’s just it. If something useful comes from them, good I watch it, but otherwise I always come back to my two favourites ❤ (you and Millie).

I'm glad you addressed the elephant in the room with things "changing" in the online space. It seems like people are in this era of boycotting influencers, creators, digital products, and any type of "expert" or guru. Some bad eggs have definitely left a bad taste in the mouths of consumers and people are over it.
I'm interested to see how this will smooth out in the future.

I think I got to the root of showing up because I was scared of being perceived and then I reminded myself who am I doing this for? why am I doing this? how does people perceiving me benefit me??? then I'm just like, it doesn't matter because embarrassment isn't even real! its only a concept that was made up by society. so to counteract that you have to make your own concept! "showing up is normal. this is what Im supposed to do. I'm confident in my abilities and my voice needs to be heard for the people who need it!" basically making your own belief/mantra! hope this helps anyone who goes across this! 🩷

Thank you for your videos. I always love hearing from you 🥰🖤 Currently in a bit of a money flop time, since ads don't seem to be paying as much at the moment with no big holidays on the horizon. So, I'm looking forward to election season in the US, since I imagine we'll all be making more money then with how many ads they run around that time 😂 gonna try to stockpile good quality content and prepare 🫡
