For the comments saying it is not the original '' who gives a F@#$!!'' I like George, he just wants to make a very serious point about safety. The original was just making fun of the autosteer!!!
Top vid George I have a farm and have tractors with auto steer and it can be bloody boring but would you rather be bored from time to time in the tractor or be bored all the time in an office 👍👍👍🚜
Agreed. To those who say how boring it is, appreciate that you HAVE a job, and not forced, as I am, to be unemployed due to cancer. I would give anything to be able to work, even if it might be a boring job, at least it is a job!
where i worked last year we had 4 old fords they still work but they're too dangerous to use because of fire hazards, the lack of power steering and no air conditioning
Growing up we had a MF165 on the family farm. two wheel drive with 2nd hand landrover tyres, front wheel bearings were always worn from heavy loader work. Cultivating in the field, a straight line would have been a dream. Great videos keep up the good work. you are on par with jonny 1388. All the best George, from Down Under.
Great video George 👍. Only time I've nodded was late night he mowing hay and the straight piped massey didn't keep me awake 😕. It's easy done especially if a cabs comfy!
Good video George I’m 14 and am in too farming I have a couple jobs around but watching people like you and I others on TH-cam really helps me learn how to do stuff in the future thanks and keep up the good work
You got the point across George, and that's what counts. As to being bored in today's tractors, at least they cover the ground. It was just as boring doing an 80 acre field with a 3 furrow plough at a much slower speed than today, and a lot less comfortable with no cab etc.
Evening George. Yes and no. Had it for about 8 years now. Yes for a stress free day and no over lapping. No because it’s boring. Audiobooks work a treat. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍🚜👍
Ha ha nice one George.I can see how easily it is to fall asleep. I'm sure,in near future, machines will do the whole field on demand without a driver. you just keep watch.!
Luckily you not in Australia some fields are that big I know fellas watch DVDs movies for most of time. I take break and go around airseeder n check to it’s working. Great magazine you reading, you review for vid I reading classic tractor, farm machinery journal and Profi👍. It interesting there some farmers don’t gps here n I known fellas fall asleep. This poor fella I know took out 8km fence before waking up, another fella found only power in field these guys were sowing. It happen at harvest with damage fronts on combines to get your caught in machinery, I say take power sleep for 15 to 20 mins it’s worth it. Great vid👍
My buddy drives one of them Autosteer John Deere out in the prairies. He'll call me up, cranking some song on "hair metal" channel, demanding me what song is he listening to? hahaha. Not too much to do but listen to the music while the tractor drives and data records everything, figuring out how to get rid of the driver so it can be totally autonomous in the near future.
45 years a go I was breaking ground with my boss on the other tractor , he was smoking a pipe and reading the news paper while go thought the field on a tractor with out a cab.
George I have a question here in the US there is a good bit of us still farming with equipment from the 70’s- early 90’s is it the same over in your area? Probably stupid question but I’m curious.
George that is fun if all tractors had that all steering it would be fun to read text messages and read a books and have dinner and all of that keep up the good work up on it
Just curious, but if it is so boring why not simply switch it off. By the way we didn't have it in my day so we learnt to drive straight and judge distance. Good vid though.
Even with advancing technologies it's going to be a long time before you can remove the operator from the machine. I drive for a living and I'm nit worried about my job yet.
When I used to drive forestry harvesters you would get into this half sleep, awake mode during 12 hour shifts and I would have to go for a walk for 10 mins to snap out of it cos it's very easy to just 😴💤 otherwise
I agree with you I'm only 14 but you should still be in control off your machine and if you get bored stop and play on ur phone but STOP don't do it while ur driving. Just don't get lazy guys don't let the tractor do all the work you've gotta control it too. Even tho when I'm driving I have a set up for my phone that's next to the screens but I rarely use it,it's only for when I'm in my brake or it's showing me info bout work. Lol but I use it for movies when I'm on brake ;)
You don't sound like you Farm very much if I got caught stopping the tractor to sit on my phone I would get fired immediately when you're trying to cultivate 5000 Acres with 1 50 ft cultivator it's go all the time that's the reason why GPS was invented
+Drew Tibert +Drew Tibert I'm 14 I can't get fired (we own the farm) but I do see your point i was just saying it's better to stop and have a refresh than carry on,not to a good job and get fired or threaten to be fired. Are you a dairy farmer?
@@farmercorby8281 no we are purely crop Farm our growing season is so short up here Northern North Dakota in the United States that it is a constant push for about 3 weeks of 16 hour days to get the crop in and when you're trying to stay ahead of a corn 24 row planter and the 50 Foot air drill with just one 50 foot cultivator there is no stopping
My trick to staying awake is cold air conditioning loud music lots of coffee and when you start getting tired get out and run round the tractor a couple times
+Drew Tibert wow 16 hours is a long time working on a farm and I'm a dairy farmer in cornwall (England) but I grow winter barley, wheat, grass ect. What's your main tractor make
Yes that looks boring but not as bad as sitting on the slurry pump 12 hours a day. You can't help but fall asleep on that job and then you wake up and wonder where the hell you are and what you are doing.
This reminds me of my nice grandma while we had a pretty old tractor with no power steering She used to say "I can drive this crap with my dick tied behind my back" She was so nice with children🙂
Thanks for the video you got to love Auto steer. Can you do a video on the piece of equipment you're pulling. Hope you have a great evening keep up the great work
Lol . Long ago farms when moldboard plowing with wide front tractors would get off and pick up rocks or look for arrowheads .I also ask channels that go out and film big operations about operator being bored never got a reply
Not to worry. The boredom will pass. When you get to spend thousands to replace sensors that control the tractor. Manufactures have taken a cue from auto manufacturers. And put more resources into cool gadgets. Than build quality.
Autosteer is the reason no tractor driver has any lunch left by 10am...
JJ Macleod my thoughts exactly.
That's why I pack 2 lunches ;)
That's why they put them enormous lunch boxes on the front now.
i would buy a laptop and hotspot edit my video while driving
There is so many Einstein's in this comment
You demonstrated very well that the farming future is boring when it's robotic
I totally agree mon!
Im not looking forward to the days when we wont beed drivers or actual people to do anything!
@joechesters
Joe Chesters I agree
Work don't have to be fun,it have to be productive.
For the comments saying it is not the original '' who gives a F@#$!!'' I like George, he just wants to make a very serious point about safety. The original was just making fun of the autosteer!!!

Perfect example why we should all drive classic Fords ,removes this health and safety hazard completely lol.
where i worked last year we had 4 old fords they still work but they're too
dangerous to use because of fire hazards, the lack of power steering and no air conditioning
Prime example of a job that will be taken by the machines.
I didn’t think you could read George 🤣
deano0303 😂😂😂
deano0303 it had to be you to put that ben😂
mightve been loking at the pictures haha
deano0303 nice one
Just looking at the pictures 😉
i wish my motor at work had autosteer, i work as a bus driver....
Bet that killed George keeping quite for that long 😂👍
Growing up we had a MF165 on the family farm. two wheel drive with 2nd hand landrover tyres, front wheel bearings were always worn from heavy loader work. You missed the part when you get the phone out undo the belt and use a few tissues. Auto steer dreams
I don't get it
Way to much glass and there is always another farmer looking over the hedge .... yuck
"Hello, anyone there?" That was hilarious on the cb
Big fields must be daunting, we don’t have any !! Which is another problem all together 😂😂
Great video George 👍. Only time I've nodded was late night he mowing hay and the straight piped massey didn't keep me awake 😕. It's easy done especially if a cabs comfy!
I thought Autosteer was that site that Doug keeps trying to get us to check out
Auto steer takes the fun out of being a farmer
Good video George I’m 14 and am in too farming I have a couple jobs around but watching people like you and I others on TH-cam really helps me learn how to do stuff in the future thanks and keep up the good work
Haha ... good video George ... more and more machines get autosteer :(
You got the point across George, and that's what counts. As to being bored in today's tractors, at least they cover the ground. It was just as boring doing an 80 acre field with a 3 furrow plough at a much slower speed than today, and a lot less comfortable with no cab etc.
Nice tractor magazine
That was the most exciting thing I seen perhaps I could get the boss to put auto steer on the milk truck haha
You know your bored if you read the whole owners Manual and don't remember anything about it. Great vid as always
Lmao, brilliant. Like me, I’m sure Podge will be smiling. Very amusing.
Brilliant!! Just brilliant 😂😂😂
Evening George. Yes and no. Had it for about 8 years now. Yes for a stress free day and no over lapping. No because it’s boring. Audiobooks work a treat. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍🚜👍
That autosteer will take your job one day
hahaha,, never laughed so much, this might be your new vocation silent slapstick comedy,...lol..
this really made me laugh , thanks george for cheering me up this morning
Hi George a very amusing video with a very strong message well done. Dave.
Was that tinder you were on George? 🤣🤣 great video!!!
Does it make the turns too? How does it know. What kind of system do you have for automation
This reminds me of all the times I've fell asleep while playing Farming Simulator lol
Ha ha nice one George.I can see how easily it is to fall asleep. I'm sure,in near future, machines will do the whole field on demand without a driver. you just keep watch.!

Love the vid. Would be cool to do some more of that kind of style in other videos.
George I have a question here in the US there is a good bit of us still farming with equipment from the 70’s- early 90’s is it the same over in your area? Probably stupid question but I’m curious.
Great video George. Your silence worked well in this video.
Because efficiency and fuel usage
did you enjoy the free forestry
mag with that?
Even with advancing technologies it's going to be a long time before you can remove the operator from the machine. I drive for a living and I'm nit worried about my job yet.
Perfect opportunity to read the user manual though!
When I used to drive forestry harvesters you would get into this half sleep, awake mode during 12 hour shifts and I would have to go for a walk for 10 mins to snap out of it cos it's very easy to just 😴💤 otherwise
Funny, George was looking at a JBC manual. When you get bored enough to look at a manual that's bored!!
I agree with you I'm only 14 but you should still be in control off your machine and if you get bored stop and play on ur phone but STOP don't do it while ur driving. what is the benefit of hedges
Still got to find a time to my FMJ soon as I start to pick it up I get a call to say a sheep is out.
Hi George, love the self steering video.
Just goes to show guys can multitask more than women
It was showing that it's dangerous to use auto steer all the time and I'm a girl but tbh men probably can but I don't care lol :)
I know someone who was riding with auto steer and went so slow they rode on the ripper
Too funny!!.. that's hilarious..
Hahaha comic genius ! You should have said nothing at the end !
Yea I kinda miss when I didn’t have gps. Least the days went bloody fast
Automation will not make things boring, only if you choose to do boring activities while your work is automated.
Not sure if you’re up for the Oscar this year George!
Very funny, but here where I farm the rows are to short to get bored but still a good video.
I fell asleep once in a Ford 5000 rolling a 50 acre lonnng field ! She hit the ditch mounted it and left me high and dry
Perhaps you could run alongside it .keep fit whilst working💪💪💪
Stick that on Tv as a safety advert George mate.
Yeah you should try one of our mile stretches at 5mph.... if i can get cell service i catch up on all you guys vids, lol.
Don't know why but i couldn't stop laughing😂😂😂
lol bless you start worrying when autonomy comes about
My driving instructor said keep 2 hands on the wheel all the time . You enjoy your crisps ??
A sign of things to come in Farming Simulator 19?
Looks almost relaxing haha
Stop the tracotr, get out, run 100m, get back in! :)
Radio not working George?
A hard day's work
I listen to audio books. Cleared all the game of thrones books that are currently out in a month.
What tractor brand do you have?
Jcb is there main one
Ahh...
Top video! All though a serious point, was funny
Yes that looks boring but not as bad as sitting on the slurry pump 12 hours a day. You can't help but fall asleep on that job and then you wake up and wonder where the hell you are and what you are doing.
When i do work on a field that isn't so exciting i play music with my music box
Enjoyed George!!
This reminds me of my nice grandma while we had a pretty old tractor with no power steering
She used to say
"I can drive this crap with my dick tied behind my back"
She was so nice with children🙂
Thanks for the video you got to love Auto steer. Can you do a video on the piece of equipment you're pulling. Hope you have a great evening keep up the great work
😂😂😂brilliant 😂😂😂
I drive 13 hour days on autosteer without going asleep.
Lol . Long ago farms when moldboard plowing with wide front tractors would get off and pick up rocks or look for arrowheads .I also ask channels that go out and film big operations about operator being bored never got a reply
... and that's why I have SiriusXM in my tractors!
What happen if you dont turn at the end of the row?
I guess a few people get a different front garden 😄
1:43
That cup was empty for sure😉
I didn't see you go round with the (Dustbuster) George?. :)) Thanks for sharing..
That's why I won't use it if it shows up in cars!
They have a GPS mod for FS17 that will do this. And this is EXACTLY why I am NOT getting it.
Halo?...Halo Mr. Bean.
The Books And Magazines Were Funny One Question Though Are Driving A JCB Tractor Because Of The Instruction Manual Or Was It A Book About JCB ??????
We'll have to get you the TW 25 George. No fear you'd be bored in her ;)
If you guys had bigger cultivators stead of 13 feet long auto steer wouldn’t be so boring
Bein old school a probably wud have half field done before I got the thing switched on 🙄😂
Looks like you could do with a alcohol beverage George. All I can do is laugh.
You need a tv in there
Good video keep up good work
I'd rather drive my tractor than use that auto steering, how bloody boring.. great video
I can I get that on the wifes car. To steer her away from me.
Not to worry. The boredom will pass. When you get to spend thousands to replace sensors that control the tractor. Manufactures have taken a cue from auto manufacturers. And put more resources into cool gadgets. Than build quality.
Shame it ain’t doing the headland turns too.....
Top video as always keep safe george and everyone else
