Wow. As always, perfect turns of phrase, viscerally felt chord progressions. So full of wonderful little surprises that strike the heart in a big way. And that voice, so beautiful! Katherine Priddy is an absolute gem, and hands down my favourite artist with a voice, a guitar, and something heartfelt to say. I'm always struck by the uniqueness and freshness of her view. There's nothing else quite like it. If someone wants to learn how to compose and perform great songs, they should study and learn from everything KP has done; she never puts a foot wrong, though the terrain appears new. From a gobsmacked Briton living in Vermont, cheers!
@thormusique I completely agree with all you have said, I find her voice and guitar playing so relaxing, love this new release, and I will definitely be buying the vinyl.
Sitting outside on a sunny autumn evening looking at the mountains of East Tennessee and just listened to this song for the first time and I can honestly say that it was truly a magical moment. All smiles as I'm typing this out. 😀😀😀
i absolutely adore katherine's videos. what i really can't get past is how good that light roll-off is on the skintone for the vocal performance sections by the window. genuinely stunning bit of lighting there and i'll be kicking myself if it's natural daylight! hats off to robin beatty.
What a beautiful song! Have pre-ordered the new album. I change the CDs in the car regularly but The Eternal Rocks Beneath is ever present. Can't wait to have the new album.
My friend Ian turned me on to this music when he posted his attendance at your St Mary's church, Cottingham Folk Festival gig. LOVE IT! ~ Andrew in America
Love this! Musically, like a good story, it takes some really nice and unexpected turns that nonetheless feel so right in hindsight that you wonder how you didn't see them coming. Really nice production & video too. Can't wait for the album! ❤
This is T S Eliot, '4 Quartets' isn't it, in a creative and moving way, I mean: "Dust in the air suspended Marks the place where a story ended Dust in breathed was a house The wall, the wainscot, and the mouse." Absolutely lovely and so observant and insightful.
Suddenly a lovely video and a whole new album on its way! Great to hear from you again - the first album has remained a favourite. Here's a playlist to accompany it... th-cam.com/video/PSzZ30HN0kU/w-d-xo.html
Pleasant song, although the genius and emotions of Eurydice, Indigo and other songs of the last album are here in my opinion missing. I hope the other songs of the new album will improve my opinion....
I've always been fond of old houses, and my imagination grew wings when I stepped inside them, so I found this song to be quite lovely. Your voice is beautiful as always.💜

The apparent simplicity of the song contrasts with the depth of the nostalgic feelings it evokes. A little master piece.
