Hearing Shawn talk about the Padres fan experience (local news raps, premature murals, chants for children and mistresses), sheds some light on why the Chargers left.
I love hearing rocco just laugh in the background as Shawn and Garrett talk about how bad black Adam was.
One of the things derrick and garret forgot to mention about the danger case is that the “guy” who got a lobotomy by dahmer and walked out was a 14 year old boy. And the neighbor asked the police many times to confirm if that was a 14 year old boy and the police didn’t seem to care, and did not check in further to confirm the child’s age. Really fucked up and I dont recommend the show.

Part of the reason SF comes up in the Mexican food conversation is because of the Mission, very large hispanic population in that neighborhood. I don't think SF tries to claim best tacos though, we are more proud of the "mission burrito" lol.

We have a lot of Latino communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, and there are a lot of Mexican restaurants. San Jose has a huuuuge Chicano heritage.

I find it kinda funny how California and Texas get into fights over the whole breakfast tacos vs breakfast burritos thing when they're the exact same thing. One's bigger, that is all. Same ingredients. That said, one reason Texans may scoff at only having a burrito option available is because then they can't have 2 or 3 different varieties of breakfast foods and have to settle for 1 large one, depending on what they're craving that day.

I'm with Shawn, saw Cannibal Holocaust probably 20 years ago when it was unbanned here (? Possibly, it was at "video ezy" or blockbuster lol). I also thought that "chop" scene looked pretty crazy compared to some of the other effects..
Also didn't realise that they just straight up filmed themselves killing animals in real life for no reason at the start of the movie (they might have eaten one), probably a few scenes I could have done without in my brain.
My son wants to watch Dahmer with me but if Garrett was creeped out by it then I'm not sure it's a good idea now lol.

Halloween Ends was the most unique movie in the series since Halloween III. I love seeing Michael Myers kill people but I agree with Garett, we've got 12 movies of that.

I live north of SF but never heard any discourse about NorCal mexican food vs other areas. My city has lots of family owned places and they are all really good but I wouldn't say its any reason to come specifically for them.

First off, the Black Adam storyline was from the 90s run of the Justice Society of America. Second, the only reason I want to see this movie is for Dr. Fate and Hawkman. I'm a huge fan of the Justice Society of America.

NorCal has a bigger mexican community than you guys probably think because it's cheaper and more peaceful to live. In fact, San Diego only has a pathetic 30-35% hispanic demographic despite their geological advantage, lower than the notoriously white Orange. It's just a culture gimmick. Distance means little if you don't have the community.

The Dahmer show sucked because there was zero nuance in his portrayal.
The actor had one mode: 'I am a creepy serial killer'. In contrast testimonies make note of how manipulative and even charming Dahmer actually was. The ridiculous way they decided to portray him during his incarceration was just laughably inaccurate and was based almost solely on unreliable statements made by his killer. The show getting some superficial things right (like him liking Star Wars) is of little value when the actual portrayal of the man is so completely wrong. Rant over.
Why do we need to respectfully and accurately portray the creepy serial killer's personality and love of star wars lmfao. Weird as fuck people treat these monsters like celebrities
