The Grauniad reflecting the general view of the British electorate there... ^_^ Luckily they weren't too smug about it... 2:58

So, so sad that this is all some people aspire to. "When someone says politics doesn't work for me...what sits under that is that our electoral system doesn't work." I'm sorry to inform you that there's a political cynicism spreading in countries regardless of their electoral system. And governments of all 'ideological bents' (see France and New Zealand especially) pushed through liberalizing reforms in the 80s; whether you voted for it or not you didn't have a choice.

Here's something you folks might enjoy: a lament for our crap electoral system, using the power of dodgy rhymes, sarcasm, stupid jokes, and a faintly daft hat. Search TH-cam for "Alternative Election Message".

Brown is a puppet, Cameron is a puppet, Clegg is the 'new improved muppet'. This type of journalism is just the same old same - clueless.

We need to change the electoral system even if nothing else comes of the upcoming general election.
