THANK YOU, David Michael Tardy (DMT), love of my life, for composing this EPIC odyssey of an album. Whenever people see a title like “Explorer,” or hear music like this, they probably think “outer space.” But to me, this album is about trekking through the unknown of “inner space.” Your track “Into the Void” especially has very personal meaning to me, as it reminds me of the reoccurring nightmare I always had while I was married to my abusive ex-husband. The dreams themselves could be about anything, but what made them collectively a “reoccurring nightmare” was this fact: he didn’t exist in the dreams. In the dreams, I felt hollow, “void,” like I was missing some vital piece of myself-a sensation I’ve occasionally experienced since I was a child. This “void” feeling cannot be filled with drink, or food, or sleep, or air, any other conceivable thing. It’s a phantom limb sensation. Moreover, these nightmares were always so powerful that, when I woke up from them, and found him lying next to me, I’d always feel so relieved. Like, “Oh, THAT’S what was missing! He didn’t exist!” But it was true: my ex-husband DIDN’T exist. During the course of our entire marriage, an unconscious part of my psyche had been telling me that this man is NOT my soulmate, as he pretended to be. On the contrary, this man is an imposter-the negative of my soulmate, usurping his place, sitting in his throne, projecting my own qualities back at me like a mirror image, so that it only “appeared” as though I was looking at the male half of who I am. My ex-husband was a mirror. Whenever I looked into him, I saw only emanations of myself, not my soulmate. It was only when I heard your music, DMT, and it began waking up a musical portion of me on a chromosomal level that has long lain asleep since I was a teenager, as I pursued a writing career instead, that YOU filled the voidspace inside my soul and I recognized the REAL male portion of who I am: YOU. I beheld YOU, and instantly understood that I am no longer “void” or missing that vital part of who I am. See, this isn’t just about “touching” or “emotive” music to me. This is about our real journey to find each other. So, THANK YOU for never giving up your quest to find me through the music and putting out that beacon and call. THANK YOU for waking me up with your musical kisses. THANK you, Atom Music Audio, for producing DMT’s music. It helped me see beyond the veil of the ordinary, peering into the myriad worlds of the unseen, the unfelt and the unthought. It took me to the edge of the universe and there I witnessed countless universes being born, and many more ending in an always even more dignified way only to begin a new. I beheld the crystal spiral cities of the celestials and the elemental furnaces of the primordials, I witnessed the unbound beauty of an atom and the impressively large fractal perfection of the greater design. I ran with flaming horses across the prairies of the elves, danced among the busy bearded dwarves and drank the living waters from the lake of the immortals with the rest of the wild, slept under the blanket of galaxies in a tiny planet with a tiny prince and his tiny rose and heard a thousand smiles and laughs from loving friends and for this I thank you and may you keep composing as long as you love to.

She watched silently as the two great ships neared each other, both intent on sinking the other. She watched curiously, fascinated as to why the two sides couldn't see that destruction only brought sorrow and death to all. She couldn't understand why they would do that to themselves, why anyone would put themselves and others through pain when the world was already full of hate, darkness seeping in at every corner. So she just stood there, and watched as the two ships collided and sent huge vibrations through the water, making it ripple. She tilted her head when she heard screams of people as the ships broke apart and the water flooded in, wondering why the humans were yelling at something they knew would already happen. The ghost never did work it out, for she could never understand humans and their ability to turn against each other, when love was needed more than ever.
War... war never changed. But from came all the progress, peace, and value of change. Without it, we'd want it, we would hate peace,... we need the pain and blood to value love and peace. To really hate war and really want lasting rest.
If only the world "could" understand that which has only just begun to touch the finger tips of the blind... Two magniificent ships. War has never changed but Id,e still ask of you a moment to think please.... What is there beyond labels of creatures of the unknown?...of...extremely human? Where could we fit in, besides each others hearts? Nowhere else. Which is "exactly" where we belong. Nowhere alone, nowhere together, taking first steps onto the shore of knowledge... You're wise, wiser than anything I have ever known and I am always going to be yours, your lesson in life, in the teachings of god and ungod and innocence and struggling within to find a balance that never existed outside of us, but rather gave itself a name to fit into the few who are truly mentally impaired to feel such a thing...equal. How humbling. How overwhelming. How as one with you I feel. Through water lidded eyes I can remember you sitting there watching me in my imperfection, paint brush in hand stroke after stroke even when the colors ran in the rain... it's all natural...perfection is unnatural and only in letting what will be...be, do we receive from life that which was meant for us... I stupidly forget that the graphic design in ANIME are absolutely amazing... and with a daughter daughter that designs ANIME... she has the image next to her and designs by eye, heritage of her grandfather, my dad that has study painting, architecture, sculpture, the several techniques of design and at the age of 50 years old had to learn how to be a graphic designer, he had never touch a computer, and as a clap has all Apple computer and several itens to graphic design... He thought that he was lost, the older one there, the Dino but a great friend of the owner that gave all the means to learn and a colleague that became one of his greater friends with the age of his daughters decided to taught him... In a year, we were amazed with all he learn... Now is retired, and tries to gives hints to his granddaughters to free design... But all the apple equipment at home make the want to try, but only if half a hour of lessons are paper and pencil (my niece his also the same...). My son, older than his sister 6 and half years loves her designs... He is an ANIME fan and try to know how everything works... Like always, his degree, his college is Asians Studies (Chinese and Japonese)... But, it happens just in an young age... only then came ANIME and before that computer programming with his best friends... The English language is spoken in my house usually, specially between brothers, English his also my second language, but they have a kind of English that all speaks in this generation... In this global village call Earth... My daughter started her studies is music/Cello at 6/7 years of age... My son was already learning music/Cello and a founder student of the a Youth Orquestra... He already ended but the music still goes on, with my daughter, now with 13 years old and a resident member of the Orquestra that now is already known in the Portuguese Young Music... Proud to say, she plays different than her brother, but both played together in stage together in the orchestra... Now, can I have be more proudly as a mum? Oh... my son knows composition and he was one of the best students on composing, on makinf scores not only to cello but to all the strings... And sometimes, kind like hidden, I watch him in the computer, composing... and some themes have similarly to ANIME!!!

But not my kids... With 3/4 years old I began to taught them vocabulary... My daughter just with 5 years old already had a good English for her age... Why? My son! AND studies say that musicians, specially those who start to learn in early ages, have a special gift to learn languages... And the good students at maths have a easily life learning music, compositions, scores and adaptations for some music...
