- Doom: The Dark Ages is an upcoming single player first person shooter that has recently featured on the XBOX Developer Direct 2025, and the game is looking very good and could possibly be the best DOOM game yet. Here is everything we know about the game, and reasons to be excited for it.

I’m excited for the crazy guns, expanded story, the doom mech which they teased in eternal, greater replay ability and secrets you can find. Lastly I’m interested in that story dlc and that collectors edition is sick. May 15th can’t come soon enough

So far it’s the only one that’s not had the video directly ripped from the showcase that ID did a little wile ago and you’ve done really well on talking about all the new things and all the old things and what they look like they are going with the game and not criticised the game in any way. Thank you for that and thank you for this honest and straight forward talk about the game. Cos to me Doom has a special place. Don’t get me wrong. I love all kinds of games and shooters. But when I play Doom it puts me in an almost child like happiness and I even go back to the old school way of playing it and gives me a sense of achievement and stuff that no other game does. I get what you mean about the motion sickness thing also hey! Never used to have that happen to me. But now I do. Almost 45 years old but still love my Doom 😎 can’t wait to see how the new game goes and if I need to mess with the speed of the game. I can! Thanks again man. You’re a bloody legend! 😁

I think this doom is taking
"A doom for all slayers to heart" a big issue people had with eternal was that they felt they had to play in a very specific way
I think we're going to get a slower Doom Eternal with more options on the way in which you play
Jumping and shooting
Standing your ground or running and gunning
I dont think we'll get Doom 2016's "just use the super shotgun for 90% of the game" but we'll have more viable options
While I do love eternal and i think its practically perfect
There are a lot of people who were fans of 2016 that it just didnt click with
So the best they can do is try and bring those players back and please the eternal fans with a new experience
I’ve loved how there was so many hidden upgrades and weapons and secret little figurines ya can collect and it’s not easy to find! But really makes you explore the whole area of every map! So this is gonna be insane with the amount of hidden things and exploration ya can do to get to them. The music is another thing that I’ve loved and the fact it’s not Mick kinda sucks. But they sound like they are doing it justice 😎🤘 doom was the very first fps i ever played way back in 1993 and I still remember it like it was yesterday! The epic music and crazy gameplay with insane demons and stuff! They have kept with all that with these latest games and can’t wait to smash out the new one!
