I think the reason it feels like you can barely hear Majima singing faintly is because you are! I'm fairly certain his voice wasn't cut out completely; it's likely the uploader used Audacity or a similar program to remove the vocals, but the systems they include usually don't get rid of the vocals perfectly unless you sacrifice some of the quality (or even other instruments), so usually you'll still be able to hear the singer's voice a little bit. However, it's decent enough to where it won't get in the way if you're trying to sing it yourself or have it play in the background without sacrificing too much of the other instruments, so it works well enough.
@@Nathan-ob2gh nah, I've used audacity and know for a fact it can't cancel out the vocals this well. they were probably just able to find the instrumental from the game files, as they probably have the vocals and instrumentals separate so that multiple characters could sing the same song.

The fact I forgot to subject my friends to my drunk ass singing to this karaoke on new year's is going to be my biggest regret this year. Hell, I even had the whisky for baka mitai but I somehow completely forgot about these being karaoke. Oh well, just 354 days to go until I get the chance to do it. Maybe I'll do machine gun kiss idk. Fine, I guess an update's warranted: Yes I did do it, but considering the fact we basically did an all-nighter on discord with facecams it was a bit of a damp squib. Sadly they weren't all that willing to go along with it.
Let me give you a little trick I was told when I studied Japanese back in college: With long or difficult words, start at the end and repeat the last syllable or two over and over. Once you have it locked down, add in the syllable before it, repeat until perfection, then add in the next syllable, and so on. So for example for Nijuuyonjikan you'd go: "Jikan. Jikan. Jikan. Yonjikan. Yonjikan. Yonjikan. Juuyonjikan. Juuyonjikan. Juuyonjikan. Nijuuyonjikan. Nijuuyonjikan. Nijuuyonjikan." Hope that helps, and good luck! =)
