A good test Steve. I've had mine six years and it hasn't missed a beat. Invaluable for getting down to roots when removing tree stumps. I have the 12v. chainsaw which I'm sure would be up to your log-cutting tasks but I must say, the chain tensioner is a b***er to keep the correct tension and then of course, you have to manually oil the chain throughout cutting. Far simpler and quicker with the recip' saw.

I did have a look at the chain saw in store but it was a lot bigger and heavier so I chose this. So far I am really pleased. Thanks for the input, cheers!

I don't have that parkshit saw, I have the other one they sell. What a waste of money that was.
I decided I needed a better one, one that wouldn't crap it's pants at the first sight of work. I bought a more expensive, reliable and reputable brand.
Couple days ago compared it with a chainsaw. The chainsaw is only over 10x faster. The physical effort required from the human factor is not even comparable, that saw will leave you knackered in no time.
I seriously doubt I'll be buying unreliable parkshit tools any time soon.

I have just about every single tool that Parkside has and I have never had any problems with it. I never had to return any Parkside equipment. For the price you can’t go wrong.

@@renierbonthuyzen9703 Try taking some out of the box and using them now and then. And I mean using it, not playing with it like a toy.
If you can get your hands on a DeWalt, Milwaukee, Festool... Do it. Then go back to your precious parkshit toys and tell me how amazing those toys are.

@@renierbonthuyzen9703 Forgot to mention. I was very careful with the parkshit saw. It shat it's pants.
The non parkshit I bought, which is not expensive, compared to a DeWalt for example, but over twice the price of the parkshit, I have been deliberately abusing it, not trashing it, just using it nonstop until the battery is empty, not allowing it to cool down, putting more pressure than required... everything I did to my DeWalt, Ryobi (pre chinese)... A thing I NEVER did to any of the parkshit toys I bought, because once or twice that happened, not intentionally, I smelled burned.
So far, I have not yet felt the need to stop abusing that saw, and I suspect I will not need to activate the 3 year warranty. Unlike the parkshit toys I have to babysit so I don't send them back.
