I remember using a slightly different approach, with the stock stone I put two towers close to the caliph plus three fire ballista with some shields to pick off the other fire balistas from caliph, so I could safely mount two mangonels closest to his castle and shower him with rocks until his front defense got weak (luckily it seems like one of the fire balistas set fire on his castle as well lol, which almost set Nizar's castle on fire as well because of proximity but the firefighters put the fire off quickly before that happened. It still allowed me to render caliph useless and not worry about my iron mines. Then I provided a little bit of defense to Snake and Pig with some shields for their archers (plus one tower on each of their castles so I prevented the enemy from getting too close to them. Destroyed Caliph's remaining defenses with catapults and finished the job with pikemen
