Was the Soviet Union, who crushed all non-Leninist socialist voices and so supplied monopolist evil with all the ideological/historical ammunition it will ever need? Is North Korea, whose difference from a medieval hereditary monarchy is a pathetic substitution of official Party theory for the ancient concept of divine right? Is Cuba?Myanmar? Lenin twisted what we consider socialism beyond repair, and de facto strengthened the reaction against him in doing so. Socialism is massively bigger than the elitist hypocrite joke of Leninism.

There r so many westerners who have positive things to say about china and its model of social and economic development but these voices r either not reported or marginalized by the western media. Thanks to chinese media the world gets to hear these alternative voices.

I agree for the most part and applaud the CPC. But I do have a few criticisms for them. I have seen from western expats and Chinese people posting videos on social media and on other media. This idea of how cheap it is in China. I do not agree at all. I see housing costs going up and up. As well as food. And the idea that water should be under private profit making. But I will give credit to China for keeping the water the population drinks safe and healthy. I also find criticism with China still conventional out look at energy. While there is a way to get China to 100% renewable and completely self sufficient in energy. And that is to use their population to produce natural gas at the point of use. What do I mean by this? Simple use your almost 1.5 billion population and domestic food animals. To produce methane or called natural gas. Put in modified septic systems that all organic biodegradable matter into that septic system. And extract the methane through condensing pipes. Place these in every home, residences, businesses, and public buildings. Add in the dozens of other renewables. And China could be the shining example of renewable and carbon neutral for the world. And as China has proven that they can build bridges, hospitals, and apartments in a few days to short months. As well as the incredible numbers of infrastructure in a few short decades. Which includes massive metropolises.
They do that in rural communities with human and pig manure as the main source of fuel.
Not viable for big cities because of mix of waste. Still a good idea

I love this guy taking money from a government, sitting in a western democracy praising a system he would never personally live under. China is a country with a long history and is worth reading about. Can anyone study Chinese history in China?
One thing I can say for sure: there are VERY few nations that hate communism as much as Finland.

Statism in all its forms crushes the human potential.
Opposition of statism is anarchism, and anarchism has proven multiple times to crumble and tear apart on its own even before forming a functioning system.
@@anttohynninen2144 On the contrary, I think the historical record proves anarchism has effectively been used to dismantle highly dysfunctional systems of statism many times. The fact that state-sanctioned coercion and violence don't subside in the replacement systems is even more testament to the continuity of this problem.
@@EdwardsComment exactly. Anarchism has proven itself to be only a phase between different forms of states. It is not a functioning system by itself able to create a new status quo.
