In regards to the viewership I think a lot of it has to do with it being a three way version with Gage and Farfa. A third person really livens things up and Gage is so funny as the glue guy.
Farfa and Dzeef are too nice to each other. Gage really makes things more fun to watch with how energetic he is. He even makes Farfa more fun with that prog era hostility they have for each other.
Unironically, if they want to do best of three against each other what they could do is have a video on the pulls and first pair match, then put out the other ones as separate videos.
What I love about the episode is that Doug managed to win agaibst what is essentially a 2-3 weeks worth of cards using a deck that isn't even able to close games without 3 turns of passing

It truly is game changing having the third person on Saga. It honestly could just be two people playing like previous seasons and the third person is in for comedy and it'd still be great, but the fact that it's 3 players means you get some really really great variety in the decks too.

I think the viewership with that, was the stagnation of bad decks and just seeing how negatively it was effecting the duelist. If a losing streaks happens due consistent. The losing player and viewer's should vote for a ban or a wild card pitch. To inject some chaos into the mix. Like, Gage should have that option atm. His motivation is dipping...
