Thanks for doing my request, Shaneo! Glad you enjoyed it. Karnivool and Butterfly Effect 🤘❤🤘 the whole Themata album is great. If Evan can stick to requests from the later albums I've got Themata covered 😂😂 Ian Kenny, the Karnivool singer, is in another band too, Birds of Tokyo... might get to them eventually. They're not so heavy.
Sorry it took so long. been a busy week still got some other requests to try finish this weekend (: Evan requested COTE & Goliath which I will probably react to in bit. Once I wipe this sleep from my eyes :P Someone actually requested Birds of Tokyo which I've edited and should be out soon. I rather enjoyed what I listened to :D
Nice one. I was saying Shane would probably enjoy seeing the Alpha Omega Ghost City Sessions as it's filmed in the studio. Will put it on the list next time around.lol🤘
You Sir, have earned yourself a sub. Other similar Aussie bands from around the same time period as Karnivool are The Butterfly Effect, Dead Letter Circus and Cog. All amazing and well worth a listen as well.
Thank you, I have reacted to a few The butterfly effect songs already. Loving that band. Also have a live reaction I did of them coming up soon. Got two more karnivool reactions coming up as well :D
Definitely check out the Butterfly Effect playlist and send Shane a few bucks for a request 😉 i only sent him my absolute favourites but there are heaps of gems out there.
Has anyone mentioned the band Cog to you yet? They are/were the kings of Aussie "prog" rock next to Karnivool. They were a massive inspiration to Karnivool and one of the the Vool's fav bands. If you happen to give them a shot (fingers crossed) I guess "The Spine" is the one I'd suggest if I had to pick one. Cheers
Also, just realized your last name is Gower! The Gower brother's (Flynn and Luke) make up 2/3 of Cog, they are wizards alomg with the legendary drummer Lucius Borich. Anyway, I hope the Gower connection sways you lol :)
That's coming up soon :D just did the reaction for that song this morning and C.o.t.e. C.o.t.e will probably drop in the next 2 hours or so. Goliath will probably be out tomorrow. Loved the bass in that song 😱
@@ShaneAlanGower nice, probably my top two Cool songs, Eidolon has a really nice bass groove too, if you're looking for more. I just found you, subbed and looking forward to more...now onto the back catalogue
Theses guys are epic! Glad your discovering aussie music. They are a hidden gems

@@ShaneAlanGower Perfect. My next picks are Roquefort (live) and Scarabs (studio version) 😊

A tidbit: For this album, the bass player Jon Stockman wrote and performed both drums and bass for the recording of the entire album.
Cool 👍

Definitely, Dead Letter Circus - Lines is a must, and Cog - The Middle

Gavin Harrison drummer with Porcupine Tree goes bananas on their live video song called The Hate Song. Genius!
🤘
Nice ^^
If you love the bass slap, you need to do Karnivool - Goliath, also amazingly complex drumming.

Moshcams really don't do them justice live, their mixes always sound terrible.
Vocals don't sound on point. Highly recommend Deadman or Change album versions or We Are live on Triple J radio
FINALLY A CONSISTANT KARNIVOOL REACTOR. DO SOME OTHER SONGS THAT ARE UNDER RATED
Wait until ppl react to UMBRA
