Let me add my kudos for a great video. The best part? You are the ONLY person I have seen yet on TH-cam whose screen - your MuseScore background - is large enough that I can see your cursor! I see not only what you are doing but WHERE! Your pace and teaching manner is superb. Well done. This seemingly basic item should be a given but for most presenters they seem totally unaware of the physical scale of what they are showing by the time it is displayed on an audience member's device. I created a hymn. And it a bunch of paragraphs written under each note. Plus the hymn as many Triplets(and for the notes that up side down like the higher notes, when they get the triplet sign: the number 3 along with brackets that hold the note) end up coming over the text(lyrics).how do I mend that? and moving over to the chorus(which does not contain much-stacked lines of lyrics I would like to selectively decrease the distance between the staff at the chorus and increase the distance between the staff at the paragraphs.so that I could move the lyrics a little away from the staff of the paragraphs. hope it made sense. please do help me on the same. Thank you.
1Hello I have a question. I use an external MIDI control keyboard from a keyboard (Tyros). A few notes are typed as normal, then the N (record) cursor hangs in the sense that it is standing still and all the notes are stamped into the chord. I have to shut down the program and restart it, where the situation repeats itself. Guitar Pro 5 works fine on the software. However, Guitar Pro only has a treble clef, because it is a program designed primarily for a guitarist. I want to write notes for the piano, i.e. the treble clef and the bass clef. Has anyone encountered such a situation? I have been looking for a solution for several months. Please give me some tips. Best regards . MiroslaV
Been searching how to add additional lines/staffs and this video led me to it. Add>Measures>append. Then open in Palettes, breaks & spacers. Drag the new line icon to the measure and it bumps it down to the next line. Why can't MuseScore make that easy to find in their doc? Hope this helps someone else.

To get an idea of how professional engraving deals with page layout, it is worth spending an hour in a library looking at how publishers deal with the issues brought up in the video.
If you change your palettes to "advanced" and go under lines the pedal symbol is there. You would select the measures you want to apply it to and then double click on the pedal symbol in the palette.

Awful explanation of how to move a hanging measure. Short cut commands do not apply to Apple keyboards, so anyone with such a keyboard is left in the blind. Always state clearly the name of the function and where it is found in the menus.

There is a limit to how small the stretch can be made. In some cases, it just won't be possible to squeeze another measure onto a line.
How do you get rid of the gaps between staves?
If I look at 4:40, it is better to go to the measure and put Enter. This makes thins easier
