Dude, thank you very much for this very informative video! I have been wanting to build a TRX4 sport axle LCG rig for over a year now, and I have only been crawling with 2 RTR rigs for …about a year. So I am new at this. I just subscribed to your channel, it came up on my feed, I guess since I just contacted Gabe@ GSpeed looking for a little advice. I don’t do facebook, so that makes things a little difficult. I am a “Knights Ferry Crawler” I don’t compete, but we have some knarly terrain at knights ferry ca. I hope that I can ask you a couple of questions in the future if need be. I’m still trying to figure out what I need to make these axles work, before I buy/build them, or spend a bunch of money on stuff , just to find out, it won’t work well. Thinking about skid plates, and transmission now. I know everyone loves there outrunner motors, but both my rigs use hobbywing fusions(which I love), and I would like to use another in the future LCG rig. I’m not trying to stay within some competition guidelines either.

I have a trx4 donor rig in the pipeline, a v3 g10 and no budget lol, is there a skid plate to use stock links and tranny? I have searched but cannot find one, all are for scx10 etc, thanks again for the hard work.
Thank you. And I can’t confirm but some have mentioned using the brazin trx4 skid. ITWRC does make a kit for using the trx4 trans but you do have to use a stubby outrunner motor

I used a 50 tooth Kimbrough spur gear with a 20 tooth Robinson Pinion , Harley Designs did the Math in one of his videos with over drive included in the equation , if that’s any help Tim 💁🏻♂️

If you get the appropriate skid it will work, I just don’t like the stock trans

You can use the brazin scale flat skid with the sport transmission or the in the works skid just have to trim it down to 70mm
@@gabrielguadarrama8701 I got the v3x4 kit from in the works rc........now im just waiting on it to aee if i can use stock links and driveshafts......im also getting their x4 shock mods and springs.....and their bumpers
Hey tim, love the channel! Goin thru the menu for the links helps tons. Been wantin to get the hi-clear for my v3 chassis. U mentioned the trx4 trans bein to bulky. Have u tryed the VP vfd trans in the v3? Love it in mine. Motor is fwd n low, pulls lines my othe rigs wont
Yea i used the VFD for a little while, then went a different route but the VFD is definitely a solid transmission option
I have a V3 chassis with portal A.R. 45 axles just purchased a two low transmission I have no clue of what driveshafts I should use can someone please answer so I can order them and have them ready when the transmission comes in
Depending on your wheelbase either incision 10.2 shafts or a set of wild bores

Hey man love the rig! Do you know if the make a kit for panhard bar mounts for the axel??
Like a stronger panhard? On the axles
So I got capra axles and they do not have a mount for the panhard bar on the axle housing so I was wondering if they make a kit for that
@@tylernorton1216 oh ok didn’t know what axles you were referring too, yes TGH makes a panhard for Capra axles

Great Build nice work, looks really good, what kind of steering angle you getting out the trx 4 axles? I'm running scx10 3 axles on my Gspeed I'm able to achieve really tight turns both directions? I was curious if the Trx4 axles allow for tight steering? 💯🤘🏼
10.3 portals will have better steering angles.

Hey brother the names Kris and I’ve got the Rails for the Trx4 axles but I’ve had it since last April cause I have no clue on how to build? I’ve watched Phil’s first step video and is tons of help and I’ve talked to him personally and told me about you. Your an amazing builder and have great videos. And was hoping I could get some advice on my first build. I feel like I’m getting left behind in the comp crawler world and am basically still running a trail truck when I do. When I ask questions on the Facebook page I get made fun of so tried that 🙄

@@TRDAdventures the link pins for the skid I must have lost over time so my first question would be is where I can find or use in place of the ones provided? Can I use the 3gear axial trans with the Trx4 axles?
Curious does it matter if the front drops out more than the rear? It looks like yours is lower in the rear ? That’s how mine is set up , I can lower the front but it won’t get full articulation on the passenger side
With your 80mm shocks what kind of wheel travel do you get ….. like 3.5” or 4” …?

I tend to set mine about 1 tire height of travel
How can I message you with my first trx4 lcg build....I got the trx4 sport builders kit....gspeedv3 g10 kit and spacers, body mounts, and dual servo mount....then steel ssd beadlocks....and a crawlmaster pro and 1080 hobby wing.....I want this build to be budget minded since it's my first build ever.....can I use trx4 sport transmission until I can upgrade and can I use trx4 sport links and transmission on the v3, I need front and rear bumper what can I use budget wise? I'm going to probably get 3brc winch and servo, the yellow jacket I'm not quite ready for.....I watch you and want to use your trx4 v3 as a blue print to start my way into my local comp scene.....I watch you, Josh harley, sbg, and alot of exocage rc......your very knowledgeable man and I've learned alot so far but have questions on my trx4 build.

The trx4 trans is the usually the issue, there are a few custome skids and stuff out there that can use the sticks trans and links, but the fitment then for motor is tight and have to run a stubby outrunner type motor. Or generally a cheaper option is like getting a element stealth trans or a scx 3 gear trans to use the more common skids.
Hey quick question, do you know if the stock trx4 servo mount with the IERC lay down servo mount will work on a g speed v3 Chassis?
Not sure I haven’t used that mount

Hi Tim , Could You do me a huge favour and let me know what the eye to eye length's of the pan hard link and the steering arm link are please , I'm getting slight bump steer , have ITW RC links and G Speed Skid with the TRX4 Axles , this final measurement is all I'm missing from the build , Thanks G9000 :)

@@TRDAdventures I’ll try that measurement now , I’ve been getting bump steer and was about to try a different servo horn to see if that would solve the issue , Really appreciate the help Tim , thanks for taking time to measure 📏 the links 👍🏻✌🏻🤘🏻

@@TRDAdventures I still have the steering bump issue but the pan hard link seems much better , I’ll try and work with the different sized servo horns next and see if that will solve this last piece of the puzzle , thanks for the help Tim , looking forward to the next video ✌🏻

Use gpm aluminum c hubs
Guarantee tighter steering radius. I have a video of it beating my scx10iii
What driveshafts did you couple to the 2lo and TRX4 axles bro ?
Just some regular scx10 Slshafts I had laying around. I have some incision shafts orderd

@@RCAdventurers just search for scx10 ii incision driveshafts, should be the first thing piped up.

@@RCAdventurers I didn’t for this one but if you have a longer wb you may need to look at longer custom options from like supershafty or Ottsix
