for 520$ i'd say not bad price for them all. But heck the lack of care kills those pretty easily. Accidents happen but using device like it's worth of nothing is bit stupid. Great video still, and great deal for such price, were they sold as lot or single piece?
They were sold individually and I bought 8 of them. It was a decent deal. I've sold two for a total of $340 so I'll almost break even after selling one more. Should be able to make several hundred at least.
It's less lack of care and more excessive lack of care. I didn't purposely do it, but I've accidentally yanked the hdmi cable while working behind my tv and thrown my Switch onto a wood floor from about 4 feet and caused no damage, cosmetic or scratch to it.
I think you can fix almost all of them because you are awesome and very skilled. The only one that I think it would be just for Parts is the bent one because I believe the mother board is damaged.

It's sad to see how people treat their property sometimes. I've had my Switch since launch and the only problem i ever had was a broken network card that made my Switch crash whenever it tried to connect to a network. But send it in to Nintendo, and this monday i got it back, it was gone for less than a week and it's as good as new now, working in perfect condition, no crashes, they kept all my saves and even even the screen protector was still on. @@OlBo98 The question is when they merely repaired it why give it a new number at all? Naturally a new network card will have a new MAC Adress but why would they need to change the serial number of the console when they just repair it?
@@luciolalazilia2189 Maybe. But i don't think they did because the screen protector is still on just the way i send it. I'm pretty sure it's the same screen protector. Seriously though, I'm gonna scurry in every nooks and cranny of your channel. But first, part 2.
If it charges normally but display doesn't turn on then it could also be a hacked (jailbroken) switch. It's possible to change the switch in a way that it will only boot if you send a custom payload through the usb port (via PC or others). It's called AutoRCM.

TronicsFix they’re tryna force feed the switch lmao

Glad I found your channel. Subscribed. Keep up the great work! Thanks!
Welcome to my channel! Glad you're liking the content.
What was the "buttery' substance you put on the connectors? Is it to prevent the board from getting damaged from the heat gun?
Soldering flux...it helps the solder flow.
Lol buttery
just found this cannel, instant sub great work man , i dont understand anything btw
Man, how did you learn to do this? This is awesome
About 6 years ago I started buying broken stuff, fixing it and reselling it. Just kept learning and buying better stuff...now here we are.
good video, mate. it's really amazing you have the skills to recycle and possibly save these machines. nets you a nice profit and prevents stuff just ending up on a landfill. looking at these units, why can't people just look after things and appreciate the value of money and goods?
Great video I believe in you to fix them all
Hey thanks!
This video was fascinating! I’d love to see more like it
for 520$ i'd say not bad price for them all.
@@Tronicsfix That's awesome
It's less lack of care and more excessive lack of care. I didn't purposely do it, but I've accidentally yanked the hdmi cable while working behind my tv and thrown my Switch onto a wood floor from about 4 feet and caused no damage, cosmetic or scratch to it.
@@KainArkanos Yup, everything is possible :) But you got lucky drop
Thank you. I'm learning a lot.
Good luck for the repair.
I think you can fix almost all of them because you are awesome and very skilled. The only one that I think it would be just for Parts is the bent one because I believe the mother board is damaged.
Thanks for the confidence!
agree well it fixable maybe by a reflux on chip?
Agreed.. not sure what happened to the bent one but jeesh someone must’ve used it as a pillow to sit on or something.. that poor switch
@@litchtheshinigami8936 like seriously what do people do
Your mic is a bit quiet, but I love the vid!
I almost bent my switch like #7 due to Smash Bros’ World Light mode. Some of those fights are stupidly hard.
World of light is piss easy. Just max out some enhanceable Spirits.
play it on easy and get a stress ball dude.

Great video as always looking forward to part 2 of the video.
Coming on Friday!
Going to share this. I want to know if my nieces and nephews may be interested in repairing electronics.
Awesome video as always
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.
It costs a fortune here where I live! I hope you can make some money from them! I would gladly buy one from you if I could. Congrats on the video!
Yeah after seeing all the testing and care he takes into fixing them up I wouldn't mind buying one either for a pair price :D
Thanks for the great tips on checking capacitors!
Whats your ebay account I would trust buying used from you.
I've actually been selling these right to my viewers. In the future I'll post on Instagram when I have more for sale with a link to purchase.
@@Tronicsfix How much do you normally sell a used switch for? I use to fix DS's awhile back. My big hands are just not steady enough for those tiny ribbons watching you do it made it look to dam easy.
@@debadwolf9727 When I saw the second part of fixing 10 switches (you should go there) it was 4 categories by the goodest and worst. A and B sold out but C and D are onsale. They are 150-160 bucks I would recommend C not D.
I would really love to know what music you used in this video..!
Great video though, fun to watch people fixing electronics. :-)
Nº1 has been atacked by a dog ;)
I'm amazed at how many of these (and 3Ds's) have dog bite marks.

When buying “lots” of multiple broken items on eBay is usually not worth it due to the reason they are in a lot is because someone has already tried to fix it (and then sold the ones they couldn’t fix). I would try to find one that is sold by itself because that would indicate that it’s someone that isn’t tech smart and just wants to sell something they broke. Nice video.
My guess: 5 fixed.
This is so cool! How did you learn this?
Just started buying broken stuff and trying to fix it.
It's sad to see how people treat their property sometimes. I've had my Switch since launch and the only problem i ever had was a broken network card that made my Switch crash whenever it tried to connect to a network. Seems that's a known issue that this can happen. But send it in to Nintendo, and this monday i got it back, it was gone for less than a week and it's as good as new now, working in perfect condition, no crashes, they kept all my saves and even even the screen protector was still on. But for some reason it has a new serial number now. Weird.
So either it is the same console or it's a refurbished one and the people there went the length to peel it off my old one and transfer it to the new one. Not that i will complain either way, it's just weird. But hey, it works again, all my savefiles are there, so i don't really care what exactly they did. Whatever they did, it worked, and that's what counts.
@@EskChan19 most likely changed serial number due to fixing the device.
And that its marked by the serial number on their system as repaired.
I know the company I worked for does this.
@@djstyle98Makes sense. thanks.
I'm wondering if it's something like the DS lite - the BIOS for the lite is actually stored in the WiFi card, so maybe something similar is going on with the serial number
Player #1's bitemarks! Must have been ultra frustrated lol
Testacorsa 😂
What PCB holder are you using? 9:04 :-) is awesome!
Have you tried putting the no display consoles into the dock to see if they output video at all?
I usually get them working in tablet mode first, then check with the dock but sometimes I do check the dock first.
This is so cool. Thanks for the great video
I have never ever damaged any of the consoles i've had, i would cry if my switch or my DS got damaged.
Heres a horror story for you:
Got a DS, treasured that thing for years.
Gave it to my cousin- one year later, hes using a toothpick stuck between the hinges to get it to work
Oh damn, something similar happenned to me:
I once forgot some of my DS games at my grandma's house, then i found out my cousin had taken them, got 1 back, everything else was destroyed or missing.
One of my friends threw my 3ds on the ground, but it was okay, and we remained friends.
Very Educational. Thank you. 😀
You're welcome!
@@Tronicsfix I have a question. Where did u find the whole batch like that? I would like to have one to fix and play Zelda. :)
eBay
@@Tronicsfix ? Really. By who though? How did they get it themselves?
Number 4 looked like the thermal paste been heavily applied. Because it is a mess.
I can easily watch Louis Rossmann repair boards hours on end just to see even the smallest details of his works.
And I have to say that I am at AWE with how easily you took the type C connector... And then soldered it back on ! I spent about 2 hours on a HDMI port of a broken laptop to train myself. The board was a bit on toasted side...
Seriously though, I'm gonna scurry in every nooks and cranny of your channel. But first, part 2.
Louis Rossmann is on another level! Glad you're enjoying my content as well.
If it charges normally but display doesn't turn on then it could also be a hacked (jailbroken) switch. It's possible to change the switch in a way that it will only boot if you send a custom payload through the usb port (via PC or others). It's called AutoRCM.
Axelanders as someone with a autoRTM cfw Switch you are right! A quick and easy way to check without injecting a payload is towatch if it's loosing battery decently quickly, even when the display won't turn on
I work with analytical lab instruments, and there’s tons of pcbs in them. Glad I found this channel so I can perhaps apply these skills to my job, make some money on the side, or just have some fun with what you’ve taught me.
I can't understand how useless people are with their electrical goods/Consoles... I have a system here that I have had for 35 years from new and it still looks and plays like it did when I got it new.. Its not like the Switch is cheap to buy.. I know because before Christmas I sold 5 brand new ones.. We are a planet of people that waste everything.. Good for TronicsFix for restoring items that would end up in a landfill..
That's a lot of the reason I make repair videos...we're a throwaway country. So much can be fixed but we don't even try, we just throw it away so we can buy the next shiny thing.
I once found an almost completely undamaged N64, only problem was a bent plug which didn't even affect the console's performance
Watching this is strangely satisfying
Cool video. What's that tool you used to get the amperage over usb? P.S. I am the sticky note king at work. I fix HP laptops.
Do you work at HP? Glad to have another fixer on the channel! This is the USB tester: amzn.to/2MmtjL9
@@Tronicsfix No I work for a shipyard as a contractor. They thought it would be a good idea to give all the welders and fitters a laptop. So whatever they break, I fix. Screens boards...etc. Plus other it work.
Just opened up my PS3 fat the other day to clean it out. Find it so amazing how miniaturised the Switch looks on the inside!
How in the hell is that last one so bent??? Lmao use it as a booster seat?
im gonna bet most of these would have been fine after liquid damage if the user didnt try to turn it on afterwards. pro tip: if ur phone/tablet falls into water, the water isnt what kills it, its trying to turn it on afterwards while its still wet! good luck on fixing these!
I think he can fix all.
But it would be only worth it to fix 7/8 i think.
Would buy one from him if the price is right :)

Thank you!
I wanted to see you replace the chips..
