Wow! Thanks for the detailed watercolor demo, I have learned a great deal. Also thanks about the tip of how to make a canvas. I love your work, It has inspired me to try watercolors again.
Beautiful work - thank you for sharing and explaining. I have been concentrating on coloured pencils and have not touched my watercolours for years. You have inspired me to get them out again and brush up on my painting (pardon the pun!) ☺️
Rebecca Rhodes I have been taking Billy's online botanical classes for a while now but when I got my first set I immediately ordered more they were so wonderful! Her eradicator brush is nice too tiny tiny and thin. Btw Your work is amazing!! Roughly what do you charge for a commission such as this hound dog? And cats? I can paint well but not fur balls.
Rebecca Rhodes also do you do your own gallery wrapped watercolor paper? This would be a cool tutorial! I like to that with some paintings and have tried a few different ways that I like all of them but always curious to how other artists do their own.
That is very beautiful. I'm probably about to try and paint that art right now. But what you did was very majestic and beautiful, I was very inspired by your painting. 😍 Also, did you use watercolors, a canvas, and did you mix that paint with the water?
Did you purchase the wrapped watercolour paper ? If so, do you think it is available on- line, I am in Canada. Thank you, great video, enjoyed it very much.
Another lovely and v.helpful and informative video. Thankyou! Can I ask please? Did you prime the canvas? I didn't think you could use watercolour on canvas???
Hello, I'm happy to share with you - this is simply Arches Cold Press paper wrapped around Fredrix stretcher strips! I learned to do this from this video by Doris Joa: th-cam.com/video/3DW-6XQevQ8/w-d-xo.html Give it a try!
Are you using Winser & Newton Burnt Sienna? I was wondering because it looks like PR101 and that's the pigment that W&N calls Burnt Sienna and its much redder and more transparent than real Burnt Sienna in other brands. PR101 is my fav.
I have had four of them. After I got my first one , Rappunzel (the Bonehead), I decided that bassets were the only breed I would get from then on. After her, I had three great hounds : Petunia, Peanut and Oreo. I miss them.

Watercolors are so versatile, and I'm glad to hear you are going to get back to it again!

Amazing! I love Billy Showells brushes too! Some of the best!
Hi Erin, yes, I especially like to use them on Hot Press paper. They hold a lot of water and have that great tip! And they are affordable!

Thanks James, I wrapped it myself using Fredrix Stretcher Strips. Soak the paper in water for 5 to 10 minutes, wrap around and staple to the strips.
Amazing. Thanks.
Thank you too!

The basset hound is God’s most perfect creation 🤓👍.
I love the basset hound!
