@@Justschr9999 nah dude back in the wii generation the n64 was considered retro and it was considered retro and it was about as old then as the ds is now.

edit: in fact, its a hell of a lot older. the ds is about as old now as the n64 was when the *WII U* launched.
The word "Retro" implies the product is an _imitation_ of something older.
That technically means that the Nintendo DS is not retro, but... just simply old.

while the idea is cool of course, take it into consideration that super mario maker was in 2d, and it would be much harder to make tracks in 3d
4:24 from all Mario Kart new tracks, i couldn't imagine Sweet Sweet Mountain from MK8 in SMK, but it's really interesting

Neo Bowser on the n64 is epic, imagine if that was released in the 90s would’ve been the best track in the game maybe
These are sick! So interesting to see tracks translated into different games of the series. I mean we see it all the time with returning old tracks, which is maybe why I particularly like the demake ones. So interesting to see what can be done even under the limitations.

The Wario Stadium and Mario Circuit from DS and GBA was very amazing. Including reimagined music tracks in the format of the game.

MK7 tracks in MK Wii make a lot of sense. Both games sort of have a semi-simular feel.
I honestly kinda wanna see someone get MK8's anti-gravity into an older game. I doubt it would work, but still.
technically certain tracks could be done in MKDS, since that technically was the first mario kart game that had anti-gravity
@@SuperShyGuyBros54321 Cool, but what I meant was that I wanted to see the tracks get into older games that *didn't* have the anti-gravity thing. The anti-gravity would probably have to be programmed from scratch, if it would even be possible to do.
The SMK footage definitely surprised me. Reminds me of my old Wii Daisy Circuit recreation.

*Are* so much better. Look up CTGP Ds, CTGP-7, and CTGP-R. New and old and original tracks in MKDS, MK7, MK Wii, even online multiplayer. Mariokart is alive and well. All these plus all the new tracks in MK8 deluxe, I dont even wish for a "new" Markokart game now.

Small question: At 1:19 there was reflection on the ground which I imagine to be pretty difficult to create on a ds. Is the floor just slightly transparent and there are the same models flipped upside down to create the illusion?
I think so it looks like a 3d model under transparent glass
That's cool and all but can you still do the ultra shortcut on coconut mall?

My hypothesis is that it won't work, since ultra shortcuts only seem to be a thing in Wii

@@KoopaMaster it doesnt matter if there are no tricks you dont have to do one to clip outside, the real problem is there are not any wheelies or bikes

I have played MKW Rainbow Road on the gamecube alot. If you drift behind the bump on the turn before the cannon, you'll be able to maintain top speed, and you dont have to let go of that A button.

GCN Mario Circuit looks like a natural MK64 track idk about you (also, the music is excellent)
The n64 ones are insane! Excellent work! But to make thwn more faithful to the other n64 tracks, some major detail needs to be removed, like the letters in Mario Circuit, the background in Neo Bowser City and the advertisements on the walls of wario stadium!
I can't imagine coconut mall's music would sound anything like that on DS. They didn't have the best soundfont.
Also, anyone making custom tracks for Wii is blessed.

This is an awesome recreation that looks great and doesn’t seem like a demake. 8/10
Wii Coconut Mall (MKDS)
Wow… just… wow. Everything here is remade in a faithful way, and some of the colors pop here better than even the original. I do think there is too much to look at however. This is a good remake, despite the lagging. 7/10
Tour Merry Mountain (MKWii)
Fantastic. Just fantastic. This was already a great track, but it looks and plays awesome here. 10/10
GCN Mario Circuit (MK64)
This was already one of the best custom tracks in this game, it translates seamlessly here. 10/10
Wii U Sweet Sweet Canyon (SMK)
Very interesting choice. It gets confusing once you reach the split path but it’s an awesome remake for snes standards. 8/10
3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon (MKWii)
Not a thing wrong with this one. Excellent remake, 10/10
DS Wario Stadium (MK64)
Well, it’s better than the original Wario stadium from 64… jokes aside, this track feels like an upscaled MK64 track, which means it did it’s job excellently, 10/10.
Wii Rainbow Road (MKDD)
Hmm, bit conflicted here. On the one hand, it’s trying too hard to imitate the original track, but on the other hand, it does drive well and looks nice. 8/10.
Wii U Cloudtop Cruise (MKDS)
This one definitely looks better than coconut mall’s ds remake. It plays well too, so 8/10

I have no idea why, but I'm fascinated by wario stadium in mk64. It fits so beautifully that it feels like it genuinely is a part of the base game.
