Hello Brandon, Great tip on avoiding over strike. My nephew misses a lot and also hits the ground so we spread a thick layer of sawdust to avoid rocks damage.
I bought a splitter about 1 1/2 years ago from walmart that was shoved under a shelf for probably 4 years or so that i seen peaking through a bare shelve and got it for 20 bucks cleaned up the rust and sharpened it very slightly and it has been one of the best i have ever used
I'm teaching myself how to chop woods here in rural Northen Arizona where it's snows and gets down to zero degrees. It's challenging for me it takes a long time for one log idk I feel like I'm doing something wrong
Lots of videos on here showing how to split. Gotta make sure the axe or maul you are using is a good shape. Send us an e-mail with some pics of the one you are using and we can share our opinions on if it’s something that will work well for splitting. Heck. I’ll make a video for you if you have a list of questions you want answered. Customerservice@whiskeyrivertrading.com
I received my maul from you the other day. I’ve been swinging a 8 pound maul for years. The one pound really makes a difference.

Heck yeah man, love it !! I’m sold, I think I’ll have to pick one of these up !!
Thanks for the support Joey!

good video Brandon,
Thanks Nathan!
Awesome video bro! Hell of a splitter!
You know it!
Great geometry on that head. I split most of my wood when it's frozen, and that hard maple would pop easily with that maul.
For some reason I favor the axe eye. It's probably because, more wood in the connection.
Agree!
Get it Kitty! Thing looks awesome!
It’s a Tank!
Broke my share of wooden handles. Love my council tools stuff. Great quality, fair price,American made
Awesome it never get stuck either
Truth!!
Heck of a splitter!
It sure is!!
The Jack Daniels maul.

What is the difference between axe eye and sledge eye? Also, if one breaks handle by overstrike, how does a person repair it? Sincerely asking.:)
Did you make a video showing the repair to that handle? 😂
Yes. Day #7 in our Axetober series on here.
Lol - don't need everyone complaining about splitting on the ground...
You look like i can definitely trust you in this area of expertise 😂
Hahaha. I’ve swung a few tools!
Fiskars
. Is best.....
You would say that.
