    www.natkingthom...
Nat King Thomas plays a baritone horn made by Fritz Horst from Hamburg Altona, Germany.
Sweet Substitute was performed and made famous by Louis Armstrong.
In diesem Lied lernen wir, dass Liebe vergänglich sein kann und dass es gut sein kann, dass das Beste noch kommt... As my friend Jerry Tilitz would say: Don't go away, the best is yet to come...!
    Featuring: Henry Altmann - bass
    Jürgen Kok - guitar
    Thomas Planthaber - drums

Actually I am a trumpet player and I started to play the baritone because I had tooth braces for some years and I could not play the trumpet then. Today I'm back on the trumpet but it was a great time with the baritone!

I personally prefer a baritone horn to a valve trombone. Great stuff!

Love it! Great to see someone using the euphonium for something other than marching bands and concert solos!

      Not a euphonium. Baritone horn

mambojazz1. Eh. Where I come from the terms baritone horn and euphonium are used interchangeably. I still don’t know which one I played though high school.

Defo looks more like a euph, conical bore and all.

@@Evilknight500 a baritone Born has a less conical and thinner bore than a euf

Really wonderful. I love this tune, and you guys just cook it here! Great job, and the baritone solo knocks me out!

Close your eyes and you can't tell the difference from a trombone.

Your statement is correct if you have a large bore trombone in mind. A small bore trombone will have an edgier, brassier tone

I`ll take that for a compliment... I loved to play the baritone. I switched from the trumpet because I had bracelets on my teeth then. Now I'm back on the trumpet, or even more on the cornet. I tried to keep playing both, but it didn't work. Thanks for watching and for your comment!

Not true, I play both. But for most that is true.

Yes, the baritone is a perfectly legitimate jazz instrument.
