I didn't know that the US market didn't get a Diesel variant. Only very few petrol/gasoline trucks made it here and most of them were converted to diesels.
@@POVSriLanka The only time we got a Diesel engine for a Nissan Truck was back in the early 1980s, and for some reason it was discontinued. I don't get why.
@@jasoncarpp7742 Yeah, because diesel engines are much more reliable and you get a lot of miles on them, Here most diesel engines run about 500k KM without any engine overhaul or trouble. and one engine can run upto 1.5M km
@@POVSriLanka The problem is that our so-called "Environmental *Protection* Agency" (EPA) wants us to drive fuel efficient vehicles, but aren't willing to allow diesel engines these days to power our cars, trucks, SUVs, etc. Their reason, *"they're too polluting"* they said. They insist that we drive electric powered vehicles. I'd like to breathe clean air as much as anyone living, but I've always been skeptical about electric vehicles (EV). I wouldn't mind driving a hybrid (gasoline/electric, or possibly a diesel/electric) vehicle if available.
@@jasoncarpp7742I get it. Full electric is just an inconvenience. That's why most of the electric cars failed here. But most of the cars in Sri Lanka now are all petrol/electric hybrids and SUVs and trucks are still mostly pure diesel.
nice truck!!!
Nice looking truck. I remember when Nissan (Datsun) trucks looked like this. For some reason, our version was never offered with a diesel engine.
