Linda, you and your viewers will appreciate this. My husband and I are older and he could no longer help me put up the large Christmas tree that we had. So… I bought a small table top tree that I now can put up alone. ( she is just as beautiful but on a smaller scale😂). But… I miss my big beautiful tree. I know you will understand. ❤🎄

Those greens remind me of a childhood memory: we used to cut boughs of juniper and cedar from our property to decorate for the holidays each year. The house always smelled so good.

Linda, your house is worthy to be on a Christmas house tour! It is stunning! We used to have a tour of beautiful New England Colonials and Capes decorated for Christmas in our town that benefited a cancer organization.
Thank you! It is fun knowing this home was in a town Christmas home tour in the 70s. I found out the home was named Sugarwood then too, from an old flyer found at the historical society, but I'm not sure if it was named before then.
Dear Good Queen Linda: I enjoyed watching you make those cookies! You made it "real" by not putting it in a blooper. I held my breath when you climbed up that ladder. I would be on the ground trying to hold up that garland and hang it at the same time. I so enjoy your videos.
The wreath with the ice skates is my favorite thing you've done. It just oozes vintage charm. I'm so glad you didn't edit out the cinnamon cloud. Gave me a good chuckle. It's so real-life 🤣

Linda everything you’ve done so far is breathtaking. I use to make the cinnamon applesauce ornaments years ago. One year I painted them blue and took a paintbrush and speckled them to look like enamel ware to go with the gingerbread ornaments I left plain. Loved that tree in my kitchen. Now that you’ve reminded of the ornaments I’m thinking about making some. Look forward to seeing your next video. I’m in love with your house. By the way it was sweet of Ben to bring the ladder around for you BUT he should have stayed there and make sure you didn’t fall. MEN!!

Hi, Linda. I’ve never even heard of this recipe so thank you for covering it. I am going to make this for Christmas and will mix mine in a ziplock bag by first gently pouring in the cinnamon then adding the applesauce. I will then close up the bag and knead the ingredients together. Hopefully, this will save me from the cinnamon “snow”.
Great idea! I do have some extra dough in a ziplock bag waiting me to make more, maybe for gifts.

Hello Linda! So happy I took the time today to watch this segment. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we let ourselves enjoy the time instead of rushing to Christmas. I feel sometimes we miss special moments because of our minds racing ahead. We are in the midst of decorating now and it was so good and calming to see you making the cinnamon ornaments and decorating the outside-windows look great putting greenery at the bottom. What a special touch your mother-in-law’s vintage bells made to the ice skates. Thank you for putting my mind at ease and knowing it will all get done-and enjoying the process.
Whatever you get done will be enough! I am putting things back in storage vs feeling the need to put them out.

I live in southern Ontario Canada and we have zero snow as I watch this , kind of nice to see this , we hope next week to see some , love your videos.
Hello fellow Canadian, Manitoba here. We had no snow until today ( it was +7yesterday). But now we have a full on blizzard from an Alberta clipper coming through on top of the rain we received last night. The snow looks lovely but the roads not so much. I used to make those with my school classes, only I added 2 T. of Elmer's glue. They were made in 1990, and I still have them!
I just commented to Linda and then read your comment! My daughter made some in kindergarten in 1990 and they’ve been on my tree since! Can you tell me what the addition of the glue is for? I’d like to make some, so just wondered.❄️🇨🇦🎄
The glue just makes it hard. I've never made them any other way, so leaving it out apparently works just fine. @@peggy-ann1961

Loving everything, especially the ice skates wreath. I wonder if I found some white ice skates, if I could make them look aged by painting them with some brown, black and bronze acrylic paint. Worth a try. ❤

I loved watching you make cinnamon ornaments. Reminded me of the ornaments I would make with the children in my class. I had the children mix the applesauce and cinnamon in zip-lock bags. It helped to keep the dust of the cinnamon down and the children could kneed to their hearts content. Just an idea if you should ever want to do with children. Merry Christmas. 🌲🎁

I laughed when you said you were using out dated applesauce!! I made some gingerbread men for my daughter also using outdated applesauce and when she hung them on her tree they did not have a very pleasant smell!! Also when a cloud of cinnamon engulfed you I thought well I'm not the only one that's happened to!!

Enjoy how self-sufficient and hardworking you are in completing a wide range of tasks. For me, it was because I had a great relationship with my dad who encouraged/expected me to think nothing of "doing it myself".
That was such a fun video to watch! I always love seeing how you decorate for the holidays, particularly the mantels and garlands with fruit - love the apples on the tree near the apple botanical prints - just perfect! (I'm taking my time to decorate for Christmas gradually this year, as well, and waited until well after Thanksgiving to begin the shift from autumn to holiday decor.) So glad to have these weekday videos to see the latest evolution - thank you for showing us how you're progressing with your holiday decor.
