- Step by step on installing band brake
1. Prepare first the tools to used like 8mm wrench for nut of band brake holder, 10mm wrench for lock of cable on band brake, 15mm wrench for nut of wheel axle, and a long screwdriver.
Ofcourse 1 set of band brake including cable and cable housing.
2. Remove the nut of wheel axle using 15mm wrench
3.add a spacer nut on axle if theres no nut
4.install the brake drum facing inside, turn it to right to install using your hands only but make sure the thread of hub is clean.
5. Install the band brake
6. Install the wheel on the pork
7. Install the nut but do not tight it until you didnt finish installing band brake
8. Installl the band brake holder, insert the long bolt first on the hole of holder then next to the hole of adjuster then next to the hole of band brake and last to the hole of holder then install the nut and tight it using philpscrewdriver.
9. Insert the cable head on cable head mount then insert cable on casing piece and insert the casing piece on brake lever then pull the cable housing.
10. Insert the cable on the cable adjuster on band brake.
11. Insert the cable spring
12. Insert the cable on the hole of lock nut but remove the nut first using 10mm wrench
13. Tight the lock of cable using 10mm wrench pull the cable a little bit before tighting
14. Fold the cable
15. Test it if its working
16. Adjust the 8mm lock nut on side of band brake using phìlipscrewdriver and 8mm wrench, if you feel that the nut is full of turning and thats the sign that you have to tighten it using 8mm wrench on two nuts.
