I’ve been enjoying all your videos. You remind me of me. I thought I was the only one gardening this way. Most of the ladies I know are too lazy or just don’t want to mess up their nails or don’t have any creativity or clue on what to do with their yard. These videos inspire me so much. My tip for splitting Hostas is use a long serrated kitchen knife to be more precise and don’t accidentally chop off too many leaves or roots. Thank you for sharing your garden.

I’m loving everything about all your beds. 2 Neato signs!! Pretty bright colors and some just pretty greenery. It’s smart that you condense down by splitting your plants to save money. You are very resourceful. Hearing your music 🎶 peeping through is graceful ❤ I can not wait to catch up on your movies to see how all your summer beauty’s are shining. ✝️🥰🪴🐈‍⬛🌻

Great video! Boy, I wish I had your energy! Many thanks for mentioning you did the work a little at a time. So many non gardeners think their garden areas should look like yours in one or two Seasons. I like the way you design your planting beds/areas as you go along in your garden chores. I think this is what gives your garden a look that is uniquely you! Great job today, as always. Many thanks for all that you do on your channel! Everything looks wonderful. Take care. 👌🪴🥰

Found you in perfect timing! I have Astilbis I have never divided and its definitely time. Thank you so much for this video!!
Now I know not to be afraid to just dig it up and divide it in halves or even quarters.

Jess, I love your resourcefulness. Moving plants to better fir their location. But also as a gardener with an extremely thin budget, these videos are super helpful.

When I divide my hosta, I put my shovel right in the middle of the plant and dig up only half of it. It's less work, you don't have to rebury the other half, and half just stays in the ground, and you never can tell that I did that. I usually divide them when they are a little smaller though, so if they are bigger, you do sacrifice a few leaves doing it my way, but again, you can never tell a few weeks later. By smaller, I mean they aren't grown out too much from spring, not small meaning the plant itself is small.

Another great day in the garden. You made a lot of progress that first hosta was a beast, but you got it moved. Good job. I have a blazing saddle hosta that’s been in the ground for 5 years, it needs dividing so bad but it’s so beautiful & huge I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Maybe next year. Everything is looking so good, you definitely have a green thumb

Love dividing over grown plants and planting them somewhere else. I really need to do that with my hostas and my lambs ear. Thanks for the encouragement. You are the best ever God bless you. ❤😊🇺🇸🪴🌿🌱

I planted 2 Hosta last year in my mom's L-shaped half-wall that surrounds her patio (for mother's day). One year later, I tried to dig them up and move them and could not get them out of that wall without inflicting major harm. Those things have a serious root system. I had no idea since I had never moved any before. I'm amazed you were able to get any of those out of the ground! Since I couldn't get them out, I think I will just add more next year.

There’s a snake in my yard that’s tormenting me. It seems everywhere I go the snake is there scaring the heck out of me. I’m about ready to relocate him if I get the opportunity, I just have to find my grabber stick, I’m not sure what it’s called, but you can pick up trash with it. I absolutely will not go outside without my shoes and socks and if I had mid calf boots they for sure would be on my feet. I HATE snakes. 🌷💚🙃

Love, love your garden. I see you love hostess, I do too. Why don’t you extend your garden in the back where kitty was hiding. The plants would love it back there. I can see azaleas back there. You have the right habitat for them but they love pine bark.
