    One of the best presentations I've seen in a while for a car and this is probably the one that I'd like to buy. No weird music, you're not a salesman who had too many energy drinks before they jumped in the car, you know what you're talking about. Your detail is spot on! Far as I'm concerned you sold me the car. So now I have to sell my Dodge truck so I can pay cash for this car, thank you sir I definitely subscribe gave you a thumbs up happy trails!

    This reminds me of my 2003 Toyota Matrix XR with a manual. Drove that car for 9 years, never had to do anything to it other than regular maintenance.

  • @Alltracavenger
    @Alltracavenger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Exactly the review I needed for this car as I've been considering this to replace my daily driver(2004 RAV4, also manual).
    As someone who is absolutely obsessed with older Toyotas and has a small collection of them, I've felt the need for something with that kind of DNA that makes my commutes and errand-running fun without having to beat my classics up. This new Corolla hatchback seems like a great option to share parking space with my much older Corolla hatchback.

    WHAT HONDA CIVIC HB (CIVIC SI?) MODEL IS THE COMPETITOR TO THIS HATCHBACK?
    WHICH ONE IS MORE RELIABLE AND WILL LAST LONGER?
    HOW DOES THIS COROLLA COMPARE TO THE CIVIC 1.5 TURBO?🤔

    • @subvet3668
      @subvet3668 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Civic Sport Hatchback "non turbo" is the direct competitor to this. The Civic Sport Hatchback has better interior room and cargo space but has a smaller engine with less power. The Touring hatchback with the turbo has better power but at higher cost 30K +. The Corolla Hatchback is by far going to be more reliable in the long run with it's dual injection with both port and direct injection which prevents carbon buildup issues common on direct injection engines. Also, the auto rev matching is only on the Corolla.

      Go for a Dodge Challenger with 392 Hemi Scat Pack Wide Body available in 6 spd. Manual or 8 spd. Auto transmission. Big comfortable and roomy interior with 116 wheelbase with a real trunk and if more space needed for cargo you can put rear seats down which can house adult passengers. Lots of s shoulder room too. Big car crash protection.👍

    The civic Hatchback is just so ugly. Doesn’t look sporty at all. The rear doesn’t even look like a hatchback. The honeycomb interior looks like it would be a pain to keep clean
    The Corolla hatchback is way more sporty. Love it! Disappointed it doesn’t have a sunroof option.

    • @txGarage

      I mean, if it's all based on the design... that's subjective from person to person. I agree that for a hatch, I like the looks of the Corolla more.

      @@subvet3668 That's just like the 1985 Honda CRX I had maybe even better except it has 4 doors and weighs more because of all of the safety equipment. With the rear seats down the Corolla hatchback SE is reminiscent of that 85 CRX Ihad back in the day. 👍

    • @microminiskirt
      @microminiskirt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@subvet3668 But what you save in gas mileage is all eaten up (a false sense of savings) because the CVT doesn't have the longetivity of a conventional auto matic transmission or a manual transmission. CVT transmissions don't last and will costs thousands of dollars to replace🤑. The Corolla SE is a 4 cylinder and the manual gets sufficient sufficient MPG, more fun to drive and will outlast the CVT equipped Corolla.
