This is actually a great idea, i don't know about the hiding tho. But the idea of a slow enemy that gets fast in timestop sounds great, especially when you spawn one or two of those within normal groups of enemies.

Loving the Time Stop. To make it look awesome, if you can get slow-motion working, immediately before and after the Time Stop do a slowing effect. So you can see the enemies slow down when you activate it and see the bullets slowly speed up as Time Stop ends. Also, flying enemies or wall-running enemies would be cool considering that if you're wall-running, the enemies would struggle hitting you. My final idea is that you for a movement mechanic. If you are slightly under a platform and hold space while moving above a certain speed, you will preserve momentum and carry on ontop of the platform. You've done really well man. The game looks amazing.
i was thinking the same thing with time, but also for the punching when enemys move give the single enemy a very fast lerp(like 0.15 ish) into its movement along with a ripple effect, and stop it with a quick smooth damp(0.5 ish)
in regards to the graphics, have you considered a steampunk style? it's not particularly hard to pull off, since you just have to add gears/pipes/water tanks randomly to everything, and the style would lend itself very well to a parts-based enemy physics system. for instance, a weak point on an enemy could be a glass hole on a metal pressure chamber. the sound design could really take off too, and the double jump sound already sounds like a burst of steam. It would also serve to further differentiate your game from the other similar games on the market, and help it stand out, in addition to filling the niche of steampunk shooters that hasn't seen an entry since bioshock infinite.
that sounds really cool and I'd definitely do something like that if I could, but it'll probably be a tad more difficult to pull off than the current style of low poly and glow on the edges and I'm not sure if I'll be able to in a reasonable timespan given my limited 3D modeling knowledge. but that is a really good idea, I loved the Bioshock games and I'll try playing around with it in Blender to see if I can maybe do something similar.

Yeah, he really tries to hard. Half his jokes are dead memes, shitty milk memes, or just generally unfunny jokes. There was a time where it was funny but when you constantly use the same jokes constantly and never change it gets dry super fucking fast.
If you're looking to emulate doom something to consider is adding deeper, crunchy bass to the weapon sounds and enemy deaths, and honestly just everything because doom be like that. A distorted chainsaw revving or the sound of a rock breaking is the classic doom play for making juicy, crunchy sounds. All in all though the movement and gameplay are on the right path though! Keep up the good work! (And add a jumping enemy a la HL2 headcrabs)
Here's an idea: An AI neon bird (you can use anything you want, not just a bird) that flies through the heights of the map; I think that monsters lingering on the ground makes the player too op. So, the flying thing can attack players from the air, making double jumping and wall running a bit harder. It would be cool as the heights are unexplored.
I actually thought "oh, this game sound like dani's game..." Then: "This guy is putting his efforts on this, and it's has even time stop feature!" So yeah, even if you were copying, jist by the efforts i think people should recognize it.

idea: add bosses and new weapons that are rewarded for defeating the bosses. Another suggestion: a machete that does melee damage and a kunai weapon or shuriken that can be thrown at enemies.
Bosses would be cool and a level system where you have to kill a certain amount of enemies to move onto the next level (map). And also there could be a level up system like in Minecraft but the thing is like maybe every 20 levels you do a little more damage when using a weapon on enemies. Also it would be nice if there was a shop that you could buy weapons from if you didn’t want to fight bosses for new weapons and also you would be able to get currency from killing enemies.
1)Enemy joints feel magnetic, so why don't you make sure that when they lose one limb there is a chance they'll get another? maybe even from another enemy, so as to form infinite combinations of enemies. 2) missing a boss

IDEA: I personally think this should be a game where each level is stacked on top of one another, and each level has a different map. After you defeat all the enemies on a level, the floor will slide over and you will drop into the next level. Each stack of levels should consist of a certain amount of levels, and when you reach the bottom and final level, there will be a boss you have to beat.
Here are some ideas : - Flying enemies that shoot you (slow fire rate,Big Bullet), but are only vulnerable from the back, they turn very slowly so to kill them you need to dash behind them, stop time or rocket boost and finally shoot them from behind to kill them - A parasite-like enemy that grab your left arm so you can't reload anymore, you have to melee to kill them (and also Ragdoll launch them with explosion on Impact maybe) - An item that heal you, like a seringue with a neon liquid that you thrust in your right arm to heal (Apex legends Octane style), the seringue is dropable from difficult enemy - Make the screen shatter with neon when the player is below < 15% health, it will force them to play defensive, dodge and heal - A Worm enemy composed of segments and when you shoot it, it split in smaller version of itself (on the point of hit), the worm spits Venom on the floor to force the movement of the player, the smaller the worm, the smaller the acid is - You could grant wall climbing to your spider shooter, so the player can't hide in the highgrounds, plus it will look creepy ( and its funny if it ragdoll to the ground) - An ability that turn an enemy into ally for X amount of time If you like me gaving ideas, i'll tell you more, I have lots of ideas for game mechanics but zero skill and time to apply them

Maybe it's just me but I'm of the opinion that almost no original ideas exist anymore and that we can just execute them better. I mean, platformers aren't original anymore and we still find ways to make more of them in many different ways. To say a game is like another game isn't wrong in my opinion but to say that it's outright cloning it is another. Taking inspiration, ideas, and concepts from other works of art is fine as long as you aren't trying to make the same game (unless you are a beginning developer trying to learn, that's it's own thing). I like to make a big difference between games that are similar to already existing games and clones due to the fact that similar games just mean they have related concepts where as clones, well, you don't need me to remember how many clones suddenly appeared on app stores when Flappy Bird became popular. In short, inspiration is fine and good. Most games are ideas that someone else had that were executed better (Blizzard does this for pretty much all their games, i.e. Overwatch is better execution of what Team Fortress 2 did*). Clones are games designed to emulate a game to the point it's obvious what game they are stealing. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.... I guess. *Or rather a better execution in the eyes of the developers.
There's a ton of room for finesse, no one (that you should listen to) is going to be bothered by similar base mechanics/base ideas; but it should be a goal to create new experiences. GTTOD is pretty much this vision fully realized, which is fine, just means that our boy should think some more about what could possibly make his game more interesting and execute on it.
What about adding some sort of ,,Time Grenade"? Basically you could throw it and it would freeze everything inside a certain radius for a while(even you, so you would have to be careful while throwing it).

after playing the game, I thought it was really fun. Though I do wish the rocket was a bit stronger damage wise. As a wise man once said, "wow that was really cool."
I think I saw correctly you can jump on broken flying enemies in Timestop. Just add constant timestop bubbles for a nice puzzle where you have to punch an enemy towards it. Or the cheese potential with the timestop ability for skipping stuff is a nice reward for skill. I love it. Please embrace it.
Karlson, Gttod, and this game all look pog. Gttod has deeper movement mechanics based more around superhot and Titanfall, whereas yours is styled more after Doom Eternal and beating enemies tf up. (Suggestion: add a meathook. Or don't. Up to you.) Karlson looks to be more based around the idea of a multiplayer movement shooter experience with some singleplayer gameplay on the side, whereas yours seems more singleplayer doomlike focused. Honestly, I think all three of you are doing great and shouldn't be deterred by any negative energy you recieve. I'llbe checking out the demo later. :)

idea: add bosses and new weapons that are rewarded for defeating the bosses. Another suggestion: a machete that does melee damage and a kunai weapon or shuriken that can be thrown at enemies.

Bosses would be cool and a level system where you have to kill a certain amount of enemies to move onto the next level (map). And also there could be a level up system like in Minecraft but the thing is like maybe every 20 levels you do a little more damage when using a weapon on enemies. Also it would be nice if there was a shop that you could buy weapons from if you didn’t want to fight bosses for new weapons and also you would be able to get currency from killing enemies.

1)Enemy joints feel magnetic, so why don't you make sure that when they lose one limb there is a chance they'll get another? maybe even from another enemy, so as to form infinite combinations of enemies.

Here's an idea: in the options tab add a thing where you can choose what colors you want the neon lights and the walls to be. I'm saying this because i don't like the gold-ish white/yellow and would prefer the purple with black walls or even a green with black walls

IDEA: I personally think this should be a game where each level is stacked on top of one another, and each level has a different map. After you defeat all the enemies on a level, the floor will slide over and you will drop into the next level. Each stack of levels should consist of a certain amount of levels, and when you reach the bottom and final level, there will be a boss you have to beat.

Here are some ideas :
- Flying enemies that shoot you (slow fire rate,Big Bullet), but are only vulnerable from the back, they turn very slowly so to kill them you need to dash behind them, stop time or rocket boost and finally shoot them from behind to kill them
- A parasite-like enemy that grab your left arm so you can't reload anymore, you have to melee to kill them (and also Ragdoll launch them with explosion on Impact maybe)
- An item that heal you, like a seringue with a neon liquid that you thrust in your right arm to heal (Apex legends Octane style), the seringue is dropable from difficult enemy
- Make the screen shatter with neon when the player is below < 15% health, it will force them to play defensive, dodge and heal
- A Worm enemy composed of segments and when you shoot it, it split in smaller version of itself (on the point of hit), the worm spits Venom on the floor to force the movement of the player, the smaller the worm, the smaller the acid is
- You could grant wall climbing to your spider shooter, so the player can't hide in the highgrounds, plus it will look creepy ( and its funny if it ragdoll to the ground)
- An ability that turn an enemy into ally for X amount of time
If you like me gaving ideas, i'll tell you more, I have lots of ideas for game mechanics but zero skill and time to apply them
Could you add climbing, like in your doot deternal game. Because when ever I fall, I can't climb up before falling. It would be really helpful. And sliding. Sliding is really fun, and would be so cool if you did add it in.

Maybe it's just me but I'm of the opinion that almost no original ideas exist anymore and that we can just execute them better. I mean, platformers aren't original anymore and we still find ways to make more of them in many different ways.
To say a game is like another game isn't wrong in my opinion but to say that it's outright cloning it is another. Taking inspiration, ideas, and concepts from other works of art is fine as long as you aren't trying to make the same game (unless you are a beginning developer trying to learn, that's it's own thing). I like to make a big difference between games that are similar to already existing games and clones due to the fact that similar games just mean they have related concepts where as clones, well, you don't need me to remember how many clones suddenly appeared on app stores when Flappy Bird became popular.
In short, inspiration is fine and good. Most games are ideas that someone else had that were executed better (Blizzard does this for pretty much all their games, i.e. Overwatch is better execution of what Team Fortress 2 did*). Clones are games designed to emulate a game to the point it's obvious what game they are stealing.

I think I saw correctly you can jump on broken flying enemies in Timestop. Just add constant timestop bubbles for a nice puzzle where you have to punch an enemy towards it. Or the cheese potential with the timestop ability for skipping stuff is a nice reward for skill.

Karlson, Gttod, and this game all look pog.
Gttod has deeper movement mechanics based more around superhot and Titanfall, whereas yours is styled more after Doom Eternal and beating enemies tf up.
(Suggestion: add a meathook. Or don't. Up to you.)
Karlson looks to be more based around the idea of a multiplayer movement shooter experience with some singleplayer gameplay on the side, whereas yours seems more singleplayer doomlike focused.
Honestly, I think all three of you are doing great and shouldn't be deterred by any negative energy you recieve.
