It's a perfect bike for the beginner if it's running well, and it's a great bike for a person who has experience, doesn't need to destroy everyone in a drag race, who just wants a good bike to ride the streets with. Enough power to get you into and out of danger. You've got to work the gears on this one.
@@grumpycat9065 the seat!!!!! I no joke spent like a hour trying to attach the front of it. I thought there was a lip for it near the air intake/filter area. Cant believe it’s just those two metal locks keeping it on haha
watching these videos i realize i had a problem when i was younger i now realize how many bikes ive really owned or flipped this was one of them i road around town alot and im not gonna lie ive took it on trails to lol
My neighbour just gave me one today.. an 82 cm450custom. Same thing I don’t think I can ruin it. All stock everything and works perfectly. I couldn’t understand why he wanted to give it away but I jumped on it obviously. My 7th bike now. Couldn’t be happier
I just bought an 82 Honda cm450e for a $100 it only has 3949 miles on it, I just ordered a fuel tank for it, story was the guy who bought it laid it down and it bent the tank and rear brake pedal and sorta twisted the handle bars, I'm slowly redoing the whole bike, I've found all the pieces except for the covers on the side, it still has the original tires on it. I'm guessing the original owner tried to beef it some and it got away from him and he wrecked it. But overall a nice looking bike and it's gonna be just like factory when I'm done with it.
My dad told me the first new bike he bought was an 82 CM450. He's got a story about how he wrecked it and had road rash for a week. Come to find out, he repaired it and my aunt still has the bike! When I asked him why he bought a Honda he replied with "Well, at the time I couldnt afford a Harley"
It's interesting that honda went back to a 360 degree crank with the cm line. As alot of you know, there mainstay cb an cl line of parallel twins used 180 degree crankshafts.
Every bike has been dropped. Mine is bullet proof. I painted over that red ruby tank gloss black because I wanted an all black and chrome bike. It's a fugly bike and tall in teh seat which is a bad thing. Mine gets 50mpg typically, does totally fine on the interstate on long trips. I traded for mine and thought I was getting a CMX450 which what I wanted and I got this instead, and I wasn't terribly disappointed in the long run.
My very first street bike was a 1982 Honda cm450e. Mine had the dark blue body work but other than that it's a exact clone of that one. I'm assuming it's up for sale so I'm going to have to go to your website and try to find out how much you're asking. I would like to buy it just to have it and put it in my collection and look at it so it'll remind me of my first cm450e. I have no idea where my original 82 Honda is right now. He got sold a long long time ago
I'll sell you a 82 Honda cm 450e it's 98 percent complete, it runs and rides, just needs tires and headlight and front blinkers and you will be good to go
It's one gonna be given to me I'm in Laredo TX south of San Antonio TX but it's been sitting need tires but all looks intact if someone wants it let me know I'm not going put any money into it if it was a Honda 750 I would.

Just bought one of these for $1200 a few weeks ago. First bike! Something I can put a lot of hours into. Been a blast so far.
I own a 1982 CM450E too. Amazing little beasts they are. The seat is a little on the ugly side but damn comfortable.
