2025 Canadian eSport Championships // Masters Women // MyWhoosh

This weekend was the Canadian Championships for eSports Bike Racing. I am racing the Masters Division // Women's 35-44 years old.
They had all women's age groups race together. It was originally scheduled to be 3 laps of Dust Trail (31.7km) but last minute this morning the race was changed to 2 laps (21.1km). So I had to regroup my strategy... This course has 19 punchy climbs per lap so is quite different that my other zwift races.
My main focus was to exceed my abilities of last years race where I averaged 2.9W/kg in the race. Thanks to a year of racing with Synergy doing weekly Team Time Trials. Super proud to average 3.4W/kg to take third place overall!!! You'll also notice I had a drop out (disconnect) at the start. I normally begin my start line sprint with 3 seconds to go... but the crowd took off at 7 seconds to go. Thankfully in team time trial I also practice hot starts - so I was able to catch them without getting overwhelmed.
Definitely helped calm my nerves in this annual event to race alongside my friend & Synergy teammate Jill Sarginson.
BTW - I yell OPEN DOOR as Brad was closing the door of the room I was in... I was concerned if the door was closed I may get another internet dropout.
