Warsaw is the capital of Poland and have tallest building in entire european union Varso Tower. Currently, among the 20 tallest buildings in eu, Poland has 6.
NYC skyscrapers started their life in 19 century, when Warsaw on the other hand in 20th century was leveled to the ground by the Germans. NYC’s underground infrastructure is ancient, if the steam, water pipe burst, they just fix that one piece, instead of whole avenue or the street. The only way to fix it, is to close down whole neighborhoods and that will never happen because of the red tape.
I love it, when a tourist comes from the USA and the first thing he does is stereotypically compare the Polish language to the Russian language. Strike one. I'm also amused by the surprise and shock, that in Poland we have skyscrapers, trams and trains LOL, it seems to me that the average US citizen, if he has any idea about Poland, imagines an image of some communist shithole that he saw in some shitty pastige comedy movie from the 90s. And that's where time stopped for them. Pathetic, and all this objectification of women is cringe-worthy. The sad thing is that people are surprised by the order and relative cleanliness of cities... it should be standard everywhere. Where humanity is heading is very worrying.
For some strange reason many Americans (The USA) and even some Europeans believe, that written Polish language is Finnish - and that Finnish sounds like Russian 😂
@@MsNamutenya Yes, there are many examples of such situations. Ok, but not to be an asshole and a hypocrite, I also understand that to the ears of people from a group of languages from a different linguistic tree, Polish may sound like Russian, Slavs hear differences that may be undetectable to the ears of a foreigner with different linguistic roots. On this principle, we can arrogantly say that Italian and Spanish are one and the same, but tell this to an Italian or a Spanish person and they will say that you are crazy. But what are we talking about here, people from the "west" still don't know that Finland is not part of the Scandinavia, but that's nothing! I've heard many times that Scandinavia is a country and everyone there speaks Swedish... But the situation in which the guy from the USA with whom I was talking tried to convince me that the Faroe Islands (we had conversation about music - i love Eivør Pálsdóttir) are not real, that they are just a land from the "Viking" mythology, like Asgard, made me fall apart. LOL
Didn't you know? There's just a few languages in the world: English- the language of America, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian and Asian. /S As someone who studied linguistics, this adds another aspect to my annoyance. I can get behind different signs of ignorance but disregarding the language is where I draw the line! If anything, Russian is similar to Polish, as Polish has a few more centuries under its belt, of existing as a distinct separate language and is the oldest literary Slavic language, beside Old Church Slavonic (which was an artificial language for the Church purposes).
As a woman I was cringing a bit. We gotta remember that "the west" has very different perspective on societal roles and feminism. At the time, when in the west women were being taught how to be perfect housewives, women in Poland were taking up guns and fighting in the battles. In the 1950s, 60s, 70s, when Americans were still debating whether women should work, and if they can have credit cards or driving license without their husbands permission, women here were "workers" just like everybody else, working the same jobs. It's a completely different evolution path. The actual emancipation has happened here much earlier than in the west, and in the much more natural way. You don't have that much of a "feminist revolution" vibe here, because unlike in America, women didn't have to sudeenly revolt against the establishment. It was the establishment, or rather history itself, that was actually letting them take up the "traditionally" masculine roles more easily.
Don't make fun of other countries just because they have skyscrapers or as high as New York's ones. It's just a matter of culture and we don't want that OK? There's nothing wrong with that. Oh, God, these Americans! Everything must always be like in America, and they must always have comments about something when something in the world is not like in the US. Get over it. it's not that hard
Well, I like the scyscrapers in Warsaw. However, he didn't really say that the New York "level" is something you should aspire to. He didn't say that having a lot of scyscrapers is a good thing.
An interesting thing about polish women that I heard from quite a few expats and tourists now is that they were very surprised that Polki are not as promiscuous as women are apparently further in the west. They went to Tinder looking for one night adventures and were shocked how many of our women are long term relationship-oriented. Good job polish women :)
Yes, it is a strongly Catholic country. That's why she's my favorite in the world. These people are probably the only ones who don't go with the times that are going to shit

I mean, I understand he hadn`t bad intentions but that "they have pizza, hamburgers" and all that rant about women. I remember when were 90`s and men from the West wanted "good polish wives". He described women as they then. Weird. If you want to have good description of polish women from foreigner I think JT from Vigo`s Dad channel did that quite well.
I think he forgot to mention that there are also a lot of beautiful corn stars from Poland. But i think the Czech Repulik is more like the european Corn Valley 😄😄 But yeah, the guy is quite embarassing and i wonder if he tried to buy a woman there that would take care of all the hosework and stuff 🙄🙄

For American, if you want to imagine Warsaw after the WW2, try imagining WTC Ground Zero, but it's a whole 1.2 milion city.

Duck and wild boar are by no means "exotic" food in Europe!

As a Polish person I want it to be polish level not new york level😉
I think the dude probably wanted the Polish culture to change so that Polish women would talk to him 🤣
😮
Not a word about Polish men 😂 Quite hilarious actually!

Polish hamburger is most tasty hamburger than USA hamburger. Change my mind. 😊
I’ll agree when I get some Polish burgers
It's much better here because we take care of our country as best we can. ❤
