A small fact about Nelson, it is thanks to Spanish chivalry that he was alive to fight in Trafalgar, for after being defeated by the Spanish at the battle of Tenerife in 1797, they allowed him to leave with his life, and even gave him two boats so that he could get back home.

Honestly there is no right or wrong:)
I agree with the typical and obvious differences! But both are not wrong! Everyone travels for different reasons and have different experiences! I‘m more a traveller but I have been to a handful of tourist attractions and cities. But I would NEVER denounce someone just because he/she stays on the beaten track! In fact I encourage that person to!!
As long as you travel there is no right or wrong:)
I totally agree with this video! But no one is better than the other.
Most have different interpretations of a tourist and traveller!
Some say travellers don‘t have a plan at all and go with the flow!

I do all of these things so I am confused. I go places and research first, learn some of the language there and normally stay with natives and talk to them. I also take photos but not always and I also learn the history and culture. I go to places where not many tourists go, I also avoid tourists traps but I do like to see tourists attractions as well as places off the beaten path. Sometimes I just relax at a place etc. So much I could say, I learned so much traveling so not really sure if I'm a tourist or a traveler but I try to have fun.
Having fun is very, very important. And yes, I totally agree that travelling can teach us a lot.
I don't think one is strictly tourist or a traveler. You can be one of these ot a mixture. Seems like you are the later. I also just want to disconnect sometimes.
Also, there are people that are neither. They simply don't travel 🥺

Wait a minute..I plan my travels (but flexible about it), do research before a trip, etc..but I also take lots of pictures, not just the famous spots but also something that's rare and spur of the moment, as well as videos, and of course, some selfies. Nobody can take the joy of experiencing those for yourself. So am I a traveler or a tourist? Ah..lets do away with labels..as you said do what makes you happy. However, you won't see me sitting at a coffee shop, go shopping, or hang out at bars when I travel..I can damn do those at home so why travel somewhere just to do those things? I like experiences of a lifetime during travels.

@@CuriousPavel I am addicted to travel. As a teacher, I get vacation days and those are times I travel somewhere (thought its also the most expensive times to travel). After my Moroccan trip last December, I am now again planning my next trips in April and June-July

@@CuriousPavel We are very much alike when traveling. I just don't enjoy the place I visit, I also ask questions about the history of the place, or in the case of natural attractions, how certain landforms or waterfalls were formed. Aside form the US, been to just a few cities in Europe, Asia, and last time went to Morocco and saw the Sahara desert sand dunes. It was awesome. My next target is South America (particularly Peru--Macchu Picchu yeah) and Alaska.

Трудно се намира не толкова популярно място в Лондон, но моята препоръка би била Гринуич. Въпреки, че е популярно, не е пак такава голяма лудница като в централен Лондон. Това е една от причините, които правят Гринуич най- любимото ми място е Лондон.
Другите две причини са:
2) има много занимания. Може да прекарвате цел ден без да отидете другаде
3) изключително красиво и приятно място да се прекара един ден
А ако отидете по- рано, и към късният следобяд имате все още сили, бих препоръчал да вземете корабче по Темза към централен Лондон. От Гринуич към Уестминстър. Бог Бен, Лондон Ай, бъкингамският дворец и Трафалгар скуеър да всичко на около 2.5 часа обиколка.
