Saban: How will we ever use the Basco fight scenes?!?! The original actor is in them too much. Basco's Actor: You know I don't mind coming back to play him again and I also speak good english! Saban: Well that settles it, let's scrap him completely.
What makes Marvelous win even more impressive is that he singlehandedly kill a guy who is on par with Damaras who’s title is the strongest man in the universe and Ackdos Gill who it took his ship exploding, the powers of all 35 Super Sentai, including 6 super modes and 3 finishers, one of which was it at point blank range, to kill
Basco has the most impressive deflective abilities(able to prevent special attacks and finishers) Damaras has the most impressive offensive abilities (Knocking Basco and the Gokaigers on their asses with one hit) Ackdos Gill has the most impressive durability (the final battle says it all)
Gokaiger had an outstanding story line! I loved the whole thing with Akared being the leader of the Akaki pirates and he gave his life to save Marvelous. That is why Marvelous was always trying to protect his Gokaiger team at all cost! I cried at some points in this season, it was very well made and i don't think there will ever be another season as good as this one! Still can't believe it's been 6 years!
Funny enough, Akared entrusted the ranger keys to Marvelous which inturn the latter uses with his team to bring down the Zangyack Empire while protecting Earth in the process. Basco was right about Akared being from Earth, but instead of giving the keys to five people on Earth, he indirectly created the most powerful of sentai teams to date, space pirates that can turn into all sentai teams. Akared will no doubt not get in Mavelous's way and I think he is none the prouder that it was one of his Red Pirates who took the torch and it is certain he's not joking about the greatest treasure in the universe.
Yep. Aka Red trusted Marvelous with the Gokaiger Keys(along with the other ranger keys) which he used to recruit his team. This consisted of former Zangyack warrior: Joe Gibken, thief: Luka Millfy, scientist: Don Dogoier, Famille's surviving princess: Ahim de Famille and sentai fanboy: Gai Ikari. Aka Red just didn't trust Basco with them knowing what he was like inside and has seen his true monster form. This proved true when the latter betrayed the Aka Pirates for a favorable position with the Zangyack(whom he later betrays after stabbing Damaras from behind).
I love how basco tries to break marvelous spirit by taking all he has and revealing to him that his hero was a lie the whole time and captain marvelous basically just doesn’t give a fuck and says he’ll take anyone that gets in his way.
It's strangely appropriate that Basco, a man who betrayed everyone he worked with (the Red Pirates, Zangyack empire, and even Sally) would be defeated after being stabbed by his own weapon.
Basco was right that Akared was from Earth, but he made 2 mistakes about him: 1) Akared didn’t betray his team nor used them to gather all of the Ranger Keys. Akared didn’t trust Basco since the beginning. He already knew that Basco had a monster form and his intentions to steal the Ranger Keys. Basco’s intentions betrayed him when Akared entrusted the Ranger Keys, Navi, and the Gokai Galleon to Marvelous in order to create one of the most powerful Super Sentai teams in the franchise to defeat the Zangyack Empire before he was killed. 2) Akared would never get in the Gokaigers’ way to obtain the Greatest Treasure in the Universe. It’s a possible that Akared knew the dangers of the Greatest Treasure in the Universe. If Akared would make a wish from the treasure, the powers of the 35 Super Sentai will vanish forever, so Earth will be more vulnerable for an invasion. Akared would have make the same decision that Gai will make; destroy it. He would have make the same decision that Marvelous will make, return the Ranger Keys back to their owners, so Earth can be protected.
Spoiler alert: Remember when Basco had sacrificed Sally to try and kill the Gokaigers in the very previous episode? Marvelous had a piece of that bomb stuck in his pocket. Basco's final shot was stopped by part of the same "lucky charm" that he had used to kill Sally. Irony at its finest.
If Basco actually was adapted into power rangers super megaforce, he would probably be a monster of the week. So it’s probably for the best that he or sally were never adapted for super megaforce
One of if not THE best battle in Gokaiger! However, I'm really confused about the power scaling here because Basco has repeatedly taken out the entire Gokaiger squad (even with Gokai changes used!). Yet, he is taken out by a very battle damaged Marvelous?! Basco whipped the other 5 Rangers with literally no effort, but I guess Marvelous running on fumes but with the desire to finish the fight once and for all (at all costs) is capable of taking him out... Marvelous wasn't using a Battlizer/power-up or anything like that. Look, I'm just looking at fight stats on paper. Regardless, this was still a VERY epic battle.
Simple, the plot required him to lose. Really, Basco was kind of lazily written as an antagonist. No-sells stuff while looking smug to hype him up, but ultimately Marvelous had to settle things personally, so he lost the plot armour. As Akibaranger put it. The concept of consistant power levels does not exist in Super Sentai!
There was no way he was ever going to be adapted. His personality was too much for PR. And even if there was, the chances are, they would have only used his monster form and as a mere monster of the day instead of a recurring antagonist, and there was very little footage of him fighting the morphed Rangers in that form. And BTW, evil Ranger clones-- Overused.
the sad thing was that he was willing to do Basco in the Power Ranger ver. (or wish American ver. had a version of Basco) because he can speak perfect English due to his time studying in the US.
Connor Seip It had to do with plenty of things. First of Super Megaforce was cut short to 20 episodes which was very rushed, Gokaiger had 52 episodes and you just can't smush all of that in 20 episodes that's ridiculous and they didn't had enough budget to invest on it too much. Super Megaforce was a shame to the Power Rangers franchise. It was supposed to be an anniversary season for the fans and although they did manage to have some cameos they were all rushed and not well plotted.
kenneth hill 2 two reasons why that was, 1.budget and 2. the season was too short...only 20 eps that's not enough to cover a 52ep story line (Gokaiger)
kenneth hill 2 They done messed up combining Gosegier and Gokaiger together. If they would of focused on just Gokaiger, Super Mega Force would of been 40 episodes and the footage of Basco might of been used but oh well...
Basco still my Fav Super Sentai Villian. Also thank you Saban for not using him cause know you'd screw up his character with how you rushed 34 & 35 into that horrible mega farce and super mega farce.
Jan( Geki red) vs lio Takeru(Shaken) red vs juzo Marvelous( Gokai red )vs basco right(toq1) vs zett Kairi (lupin red) vs zamigo And now taro (donmomotaro) vs sonoi These sentai rivarity towards red and villain it's really interesting
Honestly I wish this was the final battle and not the one against the Zangyack Empire and Ackdos Gill. A personal fight between Marvelous would have made it come full circle
zRexx Technically, you're right, but not in practice, since his full name Basco Ta Jolokia is based on the name of two peppers, one of them called Tabasco. It has to be written with a B.
I've seen the series, and he had the potential, but he betrayed Marvelous and Akared, if he hadn't done that, yeah he could've, he could've been Gokai Crimson
Nah, being a villain suits him better. His whole “powerful backstabber” persona and his ability to create clones with ranger keys acts as a perfect wildcard villain to the show. If you really want to make him a ranger, then atleast keep him as a villain.
Saban: How will we ever use the Basco fight scenes?!?! The original actor is in them too much.
Basco's Actor: You know I don't mind coming back to play him again and I also speak good english!

Would of been cool to see Basco and Troy fight

An even worse blow for Super Megaforce would be the fact that Basco was willing to cast as Basco. Basco would demolish Troy without his final form.
Really?
@@seekertosecrets he speaks English as well
@@nardoumizaki3086 VERY fluent English. It helps that he grew up on the States for a portion of his childhood
Was a crime left Basco out. Would have been worth watching then. Well 5% worth watching smf.

That's what make Sentai better
One of my all-time favorite Super Sentai fights, alongside Super GekiRed vs. Lio and ShinkenRed vs Juzo.
Those 3 fights are epic really good moments from Super Sentai Franchise
The 1v1 fights makes this franchise so worthy to rewatch multiple times
Hands down, one of the best fights in Sentai.
If Basco actually was adapted into power rangers super megaforce, he would probably be a monster of the week. So it’s probably for the best that he or sally were never adapted for super megaforce

It sucks that Basco was never used in Super Megaforce. Or the Ranger Key Clones, for that matter
