It’s the only time it makes sense because they definitely need to evac those marines and the comms are down. It could have also made the first encounter with the zealot more interesting because we could have chased him into the comms array and then that sets off a bunch of events.
I understand, i mainly searched what everyone's favorite moment of the track was, and a overwhelming majority chose this part complaining no extension has been done, so i decided to make the majority happy. But yes, lots of good moments in it, understandable
