I loved watching this play on Broadway. I even (Accidentally) met Mr. Sills at the back door. He was such a nice guy. Warmed my hands and everything. I was so starry-eyed because I happened to be writing my bachelor's thesis on The Pimpernel and was eyeball deep in reading everything Pimpernel and Pimpernel-adjacent I could find, all 12 books in the series, the autobio by the author, adaptations of the story, etc. I've seen the play in the newer variant around 20 times, but no one can be Douglas Sills, the perfect Pimpernel.
All I can say is Wowsers!! Douglas still has it!!!! A beautiful voice of a leader! Great arrangement, great graphics and sound effects! Your choir is precious! A great uplifting song for these turbulent times! Bravo bravo and blessings to all❤️
One of my favorite moments in the show! Thanks for bringing it to 2020! And what a joy to hear you all, bad especially to hear and see Douglas singing that again! I'm grinning from ear to ear, and feel strength and power. It is SO appropriate for NOW!
Wow, well done choir and cool to hear Douglas sing... Just like it was yesterday. Thoughts to you all on the sad loss of your friend... kia kaha, bon courage, stay strong in the USA. xxx
Jeff Rizzo, Congratulations to all involved. it was an amazing performance, arrangement and sentiment. We are all doing all we can to survive as we are in the midst of the FIRE...
