I followed the same pattern of decision making that I demonstrated with the first 2 pads I worked on. However I take your comment seriously and I will show greater detail for a longer time in future videos. Cheers Scott.
It will come with love and care. This cutting is at least 20 years old. The mama on my property was planted in the 1940s. I’ve decided to plant azaleas (and keep them tiny) in the planters of my Central Park landscape. The blooms would be out of scale if I ever got any, but the foliage could be dense and low.
What color are the flowers? Or do you happen to know the variety? I bought a zone 6 cold hardy satsuki (not too many are that cold hardy apparently) 2 years ago called 'Wakaebisu' which has nearly salmon pink flowers. It had about 8 mostly boring trunks, and I've since reduced it down to 2. Yours looks good with the multiple trunks especially since they have movement.
I don’t know the variety. The mother shrub on my property is over 80 yrs old. The flowers are salmon pink and bloom weeks after all my other azaleas are done. They thrive in my zone 7a. Thanks for your comments
Such a sweet, graceful tree. The branching is wonderful. It looks full size. I can just see a little bunny hiding underneath.
Wish I had a little bunny. I’ve got tons of live ones. Thanks for seeing the same beauty I see.
She's a beauty Steve, spring is in the air here and l have a bud blooming on my Azalea... so excited.. thx Steve
Thanks Nerina. I look forward to Azalea blossoms every year, and I’m never disappointed. Don’t forget to dead head!
Great work steve 👏. Love the base. reminds me of an African style .
That style has crossed my mind as well. Let’s see how wide and thin I can grow the canopy. Thanks Chris.
I want to see what you are cutting and why. Not boring. 😊

Looks great, Steve. That is a really beautiful tree.
Thank you Dave.
I need an Azalea back in my collection. Nice work!
Yes you do! Thanks Dave. Did you watch it whilst camping at Bonsai Acres? Congratulations! Keep sharpening those shoveling skills.
I really like this tree Steve looks great,
Need to catch up on your vids, sorry I’ve been taking a break 👊👊👊
No worries mate. I know what life can throw at you. How are those beautiful waterfall roots progressing?

I can't wait until mine even remotely resembles that.
