The weird sisters need to drop an album immediately
For real
Agreed
That'd be fire 🔥
How am I literally able to vibe to the Weird Sisters chanting?
fr its a bop
Sound and looks like Slipknot
ikr like when does the album drop
Because its a vibe, my dear Remus icon! Who WOULDNT want to chant and do witchy stuff all day?
Honestly could watch an entire play just about the Weird Sisters ngl
Bro the Weird Sisters are straight jamming, when they gonna tour?
Macbeth: You can’t kill me, you man born of woman!
Macduff: Jokes on you, I was a C Section baby!
Absolutely breathtaking effects, the blood appearing on Lady Macbeth despite having clean hands legitimately gave me chills. Such a good visual representation of what a hallucination feels like.
0:55 The weird sisters are seriously dropping some bangers
Legitimately one of the *best* productions of this play that I have ever seen. Bravo!
The sisters need a record deal immediately
This whole production was incredible! From the acting to the lights sound and stage, it was all really high quality. I'm extremely grateful this was made available online and for free at that. Thanks to the numerous talented artists it takes to pull something like this off! You all deserve to be famous and very well paid!
WELL I DONT TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU IN A FEW ASPECTS MY TAKE OVERALL IS THEY SEEM A LITTLE TO YOUNG OF A CAST TO BE CAST IN THE SCOTTISH PLAY 🤔🤌🇬🇧🧐
Incredible! And a minor, but important, detail I liked was the earthy thumps and thuds of the furniture and the doors. Everything was solid and believable as a castle. Top marks to the costumiers, too.
1:13 spittin bars!
I was laughing, jamming, and scared the entire play, the weird sisters were the jamming part, all of the comments I read have mostly been about them dropping fire bars.
46:40 It was at this moment Macbeth knew........he fucked up
Jaw dropping. Magnificent. The absolute best. Acting, directing, magic. Thank you!
Great performance.. Great Job on the Malcom scene.. and kudos to young Macduff!!
The hell is Lady Macbeth's deal? How'd she go from a scary man eater to a terrified basket case so quickly?
She goes insane from the aftermath of the murder - her conscience can't handle it, and she loses sleep from re-enacting the murder while sleepwalking every single night.
She forces herself at the beginning to be more vicious. She pushes past her kindness and forces herself to be evil in order to be the encouraging factor Macbeth needed to accomplish the murder. Guilt of what she's done, tension from bottled up emotions and keeping appearances, worry about the decaying mental health of her husband, growing concern from having to kill more and more to protect their secret, fear of getting caught, it all crashed down on her like a tidal wave. Eventually, her walls eroded and she went vulnerable. She started hallucinating, losing herself in the sea of anxiety.
She wasn't so much a scary man eater as she was playing a part, putting on a mask in order to be what Macbeth needed her to be. All the pain was still there, just hidden behind curtains. Slowly, it starts to break free until she's overcome by it.
@@cd-rom8220 god bless your soul for breaking that down
@@cd-rom8220 well said. I think Shakespeare wants us to see ourselves in her to some extent, that every one of us could go down that dark path with just a few strides in that direction, rather than seeing her as some outlandish crazy beast.
John Williams’ got some competition; I thought his version of “Double Double Toil In Trouble” was the best interpretation, this was equally catchy.
Well, that was one of the funnier Macbeths I have seen ;)
MY TAKE IS THAT THEY SEEM TO BE A BIT TOO YOUNG TO CARRY ON THE ROLES THEY HAVE IN THE SCOTTISH PLAY 🤔🤌🇬🇧🧐
Main character
Macbeth < weird sisters
This was awesome! Thank you so much for putting this online.
I have literally been looking for a video of this production since high school when I heard the Weird Sisters drop the hottest track of all time. ty FolgerLibrary

What did I say about multitasking?
Wow! Thank you
Wonderful performance
2:25 hey i needed that
Gloriously gruesome .
Before the Sanderson Sistahs there were the Weird Sisters!
Thank you mrs mitchell!! :)
Absolutely fantastic.
Why the heck would Ross tell Macduff his family was well and then not a minute later tell him they're dead 🙄🤔
An excellent production, thank you. I have seen several versions of the Scottish play but I have to say, this is the best I have seen. Thanks again
NO WAY ARE YOU MAD 😯🙄😂🤌🤔🇬🇧
The emotional portrayal of the Macbeths, now separated, was I think successfully carried over from the first half, with particular note on how the news of Lady Macbeth's death changes Macbeth (not evident in dumber productions).
Most pleasingly was the inclusion of two key speeches (perversely omitted in other productions) of Lady Macduff (mrs-wren-against-the-owl) and Malcolm's dialogue with Macduff about how vicious and vile Kings tend to be.
The strong theme of the play, that male valour is as much a myth as female cowardice, to the extent that the reality is more likely a reversal, is almost embedded in this worthy performance/production, but it does cut a few relevant speeches.
In finishing, I would like to praise some of the acting, stagecraft, design and basically leaning-into-it that has made this the most satisfactory Macbeth for me since I first saw the play and was wowed by it.
YOU HAVE VERY POOR TASTE 🤌🧐🇬🇧
