As an Arsenal fan, to me Garnacho is similar to Martinelli. On a given day can be a really good player but way too inconsistent and lacking in front of goal.

It's purely a discipline issue, because he's young. He's been used to coming in as an impact player and needs to unlearn those tendencies to have consistent performances as a starter. Ten hag supposedly started working on that with garnacho last year, but it's gonna take take a lot of effort on the player's part to get better at decision making in those moments. Hopefully a system change under Amorim will force that change out of him.

Totally agreed. I never understood why Ten Hag and Ruud would play Garnacho all games. For me he's still very raw and should not be playing that much. He severely lacks decision making and all he does is shoot when he's infront of the net. They made him that way by playing him too much and inflating his ego. They rely on him too much but we have to stick back to rashford on the left with Amad on the right. We need to change from last season. No wonder we scored sub 60 goals last season with these players.
I find the criticism funny of Garnacho as I was never someone who saw anything consistently from Garncho. His work rate both offensively and defensively is fantastic and he has no fear about attempting and sometimes executing great finishes. However his 1vs1 ability is poor to average, his clinicality is ok, his decision making isn't great and his weight of pass isn't good either. He isn't being given the platform to show his best attributes, but his top tier attributes ate few and far between. So when I see Garnacho not having much if an impact, even against an aging struggling Robertson, I'm not surprised.

Rashford and Garnacho are offerering almost identical lackluster performances in different ways. Why Garnacho is being left on the pitch is, he finds himself in really good goal scoring positions and the managers keep banking on him to convert at least one or two. Rashford on the other hand does not as much as garnacho.

Garnacho's mentality is his greatest asset.. he's not Kroos or Pogba when they were young or even Ronaldo who's the obvious comparison. His match against Chelsea was terrible, but I feel like his performance against West Ham was even worse.
It's purely a discipline issue, because he's young. He's been used to coming in as an impact player and needs to unlearn those tendencies to have consistent performances as a starter. Ten hag supposedly started working on that with garnacho last year, but it's gonna take take a lot of effort on the player's part to get better at decision making in those moments. Hopefully a system change under Amorim will force that change out of him.
For me everyone was looking at him and making Ronaldo comparisons. In reality his ideal career would play out like Nani, and he would thrive best with a big name on the other side of the pitch. Nani & Ronaldo, Willian & Hazard, etc.

Totally agreed. I never understood why Ten Hag and Ruud would play Garnacho all games. For me he's still very raw and should not be playing that much. He severely lacks decision making and all he does is shoot when he's infront of the net. They made him that way by playing him too much and inflating his ego. They rely on him too much but we have to stick back to rashford on the left with Amad on the right. We need to change from last season. No wonder we scored sub 60 goals last season with these players.
I find the criticism funny of Garnacho as I was never someone who saw anything consistently from Garncho. His work rate both offensively and defensively is fantastic and he has no fear about attempting and sometimes executing great finishes. However his 1vs1 ability is poor to average, his clinicality is ok, his decision making isn't great and his weight of pass isn't good either. He isn't being given the platform to show his best attributes, but his top tier attributes ate few and far between. So when I see Garnacho not having much if an impact, even against an aging struggling Robertson, I'm not surprised.

Yeah he plays better football but if the bum he's passing to can't string a one two together it doesn't really matter.

Why Garnacho is being left on the pitch is, he finds himself in really good goal scoring positions and the managers keep banking on him to convert at least one or two. Very true. The club is the problem. To be more precise, these coaches are the problem. The inability to correctly profile players has been an issue for the longest. Then the favouritism to certain players thereby building player power. The preference of individual hero ball player over coordinated team play. That’s what has created goons like Garnacho and Rashford. Antony was the same. Cut in and shoot, never going on the outside to put the ball in for his teammates. The only winger who’s unaffected by all this is Amad who looks to work with his teammates and build up sensibly. And strangely, the coaches refuse to play him. That just says everything. Thats also why strikers will never succeed in this setup.

Garnacho's mentality is his greatest asset.. he's not Kroos or Pogba when they were young or even Ronaldo who's the obvious comparison. That kind of talent can make it with minimal mentality and a decent level of professionalism. He needs to uo his technical quality and most importantly his football brain otherwise he'll go the way of Rashford (he's got a better mentslity and slightly more raw talent than a young Marcus but nowhere near the clutchness or star quality) because he has the mentality and attitude
