Thanks Z. I just bought this amp as my first tube amp. It’s a different breed of cat compared to the other solid state amps I have owned. As a new player I was surprised at how much you can shape the tone. Still working on figuring out the presence/tilt/treble relationship.
Thanks for your comment! The tilt knob works similar to how a bright cap works, if you hear a muddy tone probably turning up the tilt knob will solve the problem. This amp is actually a modded one and I am still working on it. I've based my mod on Headfirst Origin Mod, you should definitely check his videos out. A tube amp usually works better with the master volume up at the sweet spot, dealing with the volume is the key to get the best tone possible from a tube amp.
Sounds amazing. Do you prefer this amp or the DSL?
Good question, I think this amp sounds a little bit more organic to me while the DSL is a bit more compressed with a lot of gain.... I think that for the price its fair to have both.
