Hello Helike, if your clutch is overheating, it seems to me that there must be ongoing slipping between the clutch weights and the drum. This indicates some big resistance to the clutch drum turning. I would check the chain brake first - is it grabbing? Perhaps there is a resistance to the chain moving around the bar?
