- Hello and welcome to my first cash stuffing of May! In this video I am stuffing £360 into my binders.
This is an upload ! The background music I’ve been using for nearly two years is now not allowed and so I did mute what I thought were small sections in my last video but it took out big chunks - so apologies all I have had to re upload. I will just remove the music in future.

Also I love how you’re building your savings while still living and enjoying life and saving for other things that are important to you….there are a few ppl I have in my life who are saving and only focused on saving I will never attack their methods but sometimes I feel like saving can be complex my sister and husband are saving to purchase a house and she’s saving very similar to you and although she has a huge goal she’s not denying a happy enjoyable lifestyle while saving

Hi Iris Revolut has the same thing called pockets like starling and there interest rate is good and if your going on holiday you cn also have account in other currencies since I work away a lot I have a lot of different currencies works well

HI Iris- In the US I use Ally Bank because it buckets too. It is a digital bank- and it takes 3 business days to get the money out. I did start an emergency binder to keep cash at home in a safe. Just in case I need money faster than that.
3 days isn’t so bad.., but still a pain. Glad you’ve got a solution there. There’s so many to choose from! X

I had suggested for the 1s and 2s to use a tracker / challenge for them, then condense into your build a buffer. Once that's completed, maybe into a mystery envelop for the 2025 trip.
For some savings you could try Bunq - which is 3.71% savings (paid weekly) or trade republic 4% up to 40k (paid monthly)

Great video Iris, I can only speak for my middle sister. She experienced sleep paralysis three times, and it was just like what you described, unable to move no matter how hard she tried. She always said it felt like she was awake, seeing shadows, and even if she didn't see anything, she was certain someone was there beside her, staring at her. Then she'd wake up, and everything was normal again. She noticed it happened whenever she had high stress levels, like before an important exam or work project, and when she drank a lot of coffee to keep her awake longer to study. I'm not sure if this helps...

Don't know if you are aware but you can open multiple savings accounts and name them with the Halifax. Some are over 4% interest ❤ x

I have experienced sleep paralysis before very scary, but from research avoid sleeping on your back if you can. Great video Iris ❤❤❤

I have had something similar to the sleep thing not long ago. I was like slightly conscious - half asleep as such - and it was as if my mind new I was dreaming but was awake if that makes any sense and it was quite a frightening dream too. I know people who suffer with sleep paralysis and it could be that. I could also be night terrors but not entirely sure what could be triggering it ☺ the mind is a boggling thing. congrats on finishing western balkans 😁🎊🎉
Gosh it’s definitely what you describe there. I knew I was dreaming, wasn’t a nice dream and very vivid, and then I knew I was conscious but couldn’t move and have this almighty sense of doom and someone in the room. Bloody awful! Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️

I buy premium bonds with my larger savings. This is what I did for when we were saving for America. We're getting married next year so all the wedding and honeymoon savings is going straight into premium bonds. They're so easy to cash in and you might win... we've won over the past year £££ 🤩

Hi friend! I'd do the trackers for your coins, then you can apply it to Christmas or your 2025 trip. You've done the Ira book for a long time, maybe get some different savings challenges to shake things up a bit. I'd love the Q&A video! You've worked so hard on your travel envelopes...proud of you. Live your life girl! lol I've had dream paralysis like you, freaks me out when it happens. Doesn't happen often, but it does make me wonder why. The wash of fear over me is the worst part.

One thing you could look at in regards to your starling balance is put things like your £10K and Eryl (if of course you are feeding it into the 10K) into a separate high interest instant access account. I looked up what the best savings accounts were on the Martin Lewis website.
I like the Ira book idea. I currently just keep rolling over my £1/£2 and 50p coins as I personally don’t end up with enough to have a separate savings challenge for. Like you, anything under 50p I put into a penny saving box.

I get sleep paralysis too, it’s horrible! For me I usually put it down to being overtired, almost as though my body is more exhausted than my brain. It usually happens less when I stick to a consistent bedtime but can be really unpredictable. Haven’t found much else to help it unfortunately.

J P Morgan launched Chase app banking, works similar to Starling except you get 4.1% interest on savings of which you can have 10 accounts. Up to 10 spending accounts that work with 1 debit card plus 1% cash back on your spending. You can use your card abroad without any fuss. Your money is protected up to £80k just like the high st banks. If you choose Revolut check they protect your money like the high st banks do as last I read they didn't.

Yes sleep paralysis is sooooo scary I used to have them a lot in my 20s i think for me it’s was due to high stress and lack of sleep, I wonder also if maybe I was deficient in some nutrients I wonder if broken sleep can cause it as well I didn’t do anything specific bc I wasn’t sure what it was I just let it run it’s course are you staying hydrated idk I’m just trying to brainstorm but it is extremely scary

Sleep paralysis is really scary, I have had it a few times when my sleep schedule was all messed up when I used to work nights. I think as others have said it is when you’re tired or not sleeping at a regular time. Apparently sleeping on your back like I do makes it worse also but i couldn’t help where was comfy. sleeping with an eye mask helps a lot because even if you know you’re in paralysis you can’t see anything creepy because your eyes are closed. That might help. Hope it stays away.

I’d never heard of Starling Bank until I watched your video. Is it correct that you can only deposit £1,000 a year free of charge? It doesn’t seem a lot x
No you can deposit more than that, limitless I think, but the interest paid on your balance only pays up to £5k xx
@@irisbudgets I double checked and it’s £1k limit per year for cash deposits via the post office. If you transfer money online there is no limit xx
