  • Earlier in the year, Bonita and I went on an overland trip across Africa, from Nairobi to South Africa via Tanzania, Zambia, and Namibia, using public transport. If you're looking to backpack across Africa, this is the video to share with your squad.

    I drove with my girlfriend from kenya to capetown, amazing experience. Advise you should stay in tanzania and malawi for a day or two...plus dont forget to explore the adventures on each country.

    If it takes 100k to 200k for a 3wk travel down south it means most of our local tourism is way overpriced....

    What is the breakdown of the 200k? What about roaming charges especially for data that you were using to post?

    • @WendyWatta
      @WendyWatta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Robert Wanderi That mostly went to activities, nice accommodation here and there, food...these depend on the individual. Transport ranged from Ksh 2,000 to Ksh 3,500 from one city to the next, for distances that took at least 13hours to cover. The stops are mentioned in the video. Buy a SIM card at the border and get data bundles for anything from 200 bob depending on how long you’re staying in town.

    Hi there from Holland. You say that booking a ho(s)tel in advance is not a good idea. My question is: how then can you know where to stay when you arrive? And: what is the name of the bus companies? Thanks!!

    • @stephenomondi2437
      @stephenomondi2437 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From Nairobi to Dar salaam you the best bus company will be Tahmeed coaches.. DAR SALAAM TO KAPIRIMPOSHI or to Kitwe in Zambia we have a direct bus now called Royal Africa bus company. But in this one you can also do from Darsalaam to Nakonde border and you can use Sauli or Golden dear company. Then from Nakonde to Lusaka Zambia you can use Power tools logistics... From Lusaka Zambia to Johannesburg you can do two or three of the best buses we have shalom bus company. We have UBZ bus company and also we have Juldan Motors. Hope that's helpful
