    Good news all. This aircraft is normally $29.99US in the Marketplace. But from July 17th, 2024 to August 1st, 2024, it's on sale for $19.99.
    Thank you for doing this video. I was going to hold off, but now I'm going to pick it up.

      Yes! good call. This plane is a must have at only $20. plus make sure to get the update 1.10 that adds GPS navigation!

      Is there a reason why the Cross Feed Fuel (Red) switch is open on ENG 2 by default?

    Complaints about GPS and getting to altitude with autopilot, the fun of flight sim for me is doing these things manually, flying vfr when I can. I know I know “tell us you’re a low hours pilot without telling us you’re a low hours pilot” lol. Great vid, thank you!

    great video a such a chill awesome creator, hoping that this C130 will be able to follow flight plans properly someday

    It's very well modeled, someone needs to make a perfect mod for it on the systems and sounds

    Hi! Very nice and helpful Video! Is there any way to set the altitude to for example 24k feet and not play around with the pitch? Greetings

    • @LazerboltVids
      @LazerboltVids  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry, no. You need to climb to the desired altitude, and then hold it there with the altitude control switch. Thanks for watching!

    Is there no short cut to get it slaved to a GPS track from a tool like GTN750 or something? Some European airforces had the H-model with CDU and FMC (Boeing stylish). Captain Sim just went cheap in programming as the always have for the last twenty years

    And he has pay walled the livery options! Great plane but that’s a big part of msfs is the livery and addon content. You can change the livery but it’s a absolute faf

    Problems here. Tried to start with other YT instruction video, but ran into problems. Tried this instruction three times without success. 1 - My GTC Warning light does not light, so continued forward. 2 - The Right Inverter Switch turned on a light above the switch which is SEL PWR OUT. 3 - After engine 1 Condition Lever moved forward, engine 1 Toggle will not stay in START position, nor does light above it go on. This is as far as I went.

      Perhaps try using the checklist from the dropdown menu. It's pretty detailed and even highlights whatever switches are used in each step.

    you forgot to turn on the turbine switch on the APU to start it after opening the bleed air valve. its kind of a bug that the engine will start without that being turned on as the turbine motor provides the compressed air to turn over the engines in the start as you have to with other aircraft, no turbine compressed air then no engine start. Just opening the apu doors shouldnt start the engine. but hey if its a step you skip then ok but not realistic.

      It is true, I skipped a switch that does nothing. Thanks for watching.

      Correct, ATM and then also turn on the Generator for GTC first.

    It was a nice mod plane for the time back then but for todays standards this is a bit lacking. This is also an older much older variant of the C130. The new ones have new props and new engines and much more streamline panel with a much simpler startup procedure. We use the J model today have a look at one theres a youtube video of an entire walk through of one.
    Also for this to be the old school model with the old engines and props it should have some good solid black streams of smoke coming off those engines. Every C130 I ever saw in the 90s had it and yes THEY WERE LOUD you could hear them coming for a good 10 miles away easy.

    I appreciated your video. I would gladly buy this plane if it had GPS navigation like the Azurepoly does. I have different variations of captain Sim 777 and 767 and really enjoy them. Unless CS adds GPS to theirs I will have to wait for Blackbird’s series 7 variation. However I prefer Captain Sims.

    • @LazerboltVids
      @LazerboltVids  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea, the Captain Sim C130 could use a variation that includes a GPS, that would be nice. However, the C130H that is offered here doesn't have GPS and at least that's real-world accurate.
      I haven't seen any other c130's for purchase. Azurepoly does offer a twin engine C160. they look slightly similar, but are very different.

    Your video is great but the modeling is “good enough”. The exterior is modeled as an C-130H3 but the overhead is from the C-130E. There is about a 30 year difference between the two. The GTC (Gas Turbine Compressor) were from the E models and were vertical clamshell doors on the right side forward of the main gear. Battery is turned on before the bus tie is connected and the engine start sequence is 3,4,2,1.

    • @leroybux
      @leroybux ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Incorrect on the GTC door location it’s actually will be slightly lower of this door in the video/game this will actually be the APU door not GTC that’s in the game @wesleykelly2133 C-130H GTC is located on the left front wheel well as in the video. And start sequence doesn’t affect anything as long as you not connected to external power or in a cold area, start sequence(3421) was made for few reasons, avoid too much noise for the crew entering the aircraft and the GPU connected to be moved easily, also for easy check of the ice detection system as it is connected in number 2 &3 engines.
