Congratulations on hitting 600k subscribers! What an amazing achievement! You deserve it all with all you do and teach everyone! I'm so glad I found your channel a few years ago! I eagerly wait and look forward to seeing your new video content! You're amazing! I can wait to see what this year's garden brings! I'm planting my peppers in 5 days and couldn't be more excited about it! What veggies are you most excited about growing this year?
Rain, snow, sleet and no running water...Becky still sticks with videos and yummy dinner ideas!! Thank you for all of your efforts! Hope the water is fixed now
23:46 Becky your chicken turned out good. I do have a GAME CHANGING PRO CHEF FRYING TIP for you that CHANGED & PERFECTED MY FRYING PROCESS.😊 I learned it 10 years ago from my oldest sons friend who worked at a restuarant/chef. TRUST ME, After you do this step, you'll NEVER go back to frying coated/breaded meat veggies etc any other way again!! The tip is 3 fold. First, RESTING THE BREADED MEAT ETC 10 MINS BEFORE YOU FRY IT. While resting, THIS is when you get your oil hot. But don't put your breaded meat, veggies etc in the oil until it has both rested 10 minutes AND your oil is fully come up to 350°. This is because the resting process BONDS the 3 step breading to the meat & forms the "batter" we are creating with the flour, egg, & crumb mixture process. Without the rest phase, it doesn't bond & create the batter we are trying to create onto the meat or veggie. Instead, unrested 10 min minimum, the coating will either slide off or shift during not only the transfer, but during the flipping, or moving the meat to add more pieces in. You then risk losing sheets or sections of the breading coming off during flip or moving or sticking to the pan. Or risk the breading sliding, so you get bald spots on the meat unevenly coated with clumped thicker doughy spots in other areas it shifted to, & the parts that slid off or stuck to your tongs etc burn in the pan when slide off or when come off in sheet sections when flip or move the meat. When you don't let your breaded meat rest 10 minutes to bonds & form the "batter" its intended to create, it can't properly create the breading WITHOUT that resting phase. Once you rest it 10 min after the final coat of breading, when you go to put it in the hot oil it STAYS PUT...it wont shift or lift off in sections or flaps nor bald in some areas/doughy in other areas. But it WILL FRY PERFECTLY & stay evenly coated over your meat etc & create a perfect golden crunchy crispy texture you're going for from breading it. The 2nd key step is getting the oil to exactly 350° before you put the rested coated food/meat in the oil. If not using an electric skillet to ensure perfect fry temp of 350°. Then just test the oil with a wooden spoon. When the oil starts immediately bubbling around the wood, you're ready. Wait til it does do that before add the meat. or again you risk losing the breading & a soggy final product if oil not 350. Or the other fool proof method if no wooden spoon, is to step back and flick a TINY drop of water in the oil. If it crackles & pops, your at 350. Making sure you rested the breading 10 mins & not laying it in the oil until the oil is 350...this WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU THE PERFECT RESTUARANT QUALITY FRY YOU'RE GOING FOR. And lastly, 3rd final pro tip...ALWAYS season your FLOUR with salt pepper & any other seasonings you want your breaded meat or veggie to take on. Don't season the crumb layer as it will burn off the seasoning when it hits the oil. AND beat your egg VERY well til foamy so as to prevent batter clumping too from egg not mixed well. Now you'll have the PERFECTLY coated perfectly golden perfect crunch & perfect flavor of your fried foods you were wanting to achieve. (Salt again AFTER the fry is done too unless going in a dish with other ingredients seasoned or salted too). If serving a fried food as its own dish, frying in peanut oil is a flavor game changer too. This knowledge COMPLETELY upped & perfected my frying game 100% . I'm sharing this BECAUSE I know you will appreciate the info. ❤😮🎉😊 And also I MUST say, I have learned ALOT of cooking knowledge from watching YOU in the kitchen as well. Especially regarding canning. MUCH LOVE MY FRIEND 😮& HAPPY FRYING! ❤🎉😊
Seconded! I was making pasties for a special family dinner and decided to try your recipe for hot water crust. It was so easy to find, and worked beautifully!
Anytime I open Google and start to type Google automatically recommends Scratch Pantry. Lol, clearly I go there often!! You need to get those fluffy mini pandcakes you made your sister there! I always look at Scratch Pantry first before I remember it's on someone else's blog. Those pandcakes are soooo good!!
I do the same thing and I'm thankful I do . We had a water pipe bust again this year . It wasn't too bad just lost water for two days . But with nine people in the house you have to be able to flush the toilet
@@saravaneerde6164 Whenever I have space in my canner, I'll can filtered water. Works beautifully and keeps my jars from tipping over when the canner isn't full. If I know we are going to have a storm that may knock out our power (pump on well need electricity), I'll fill the bathtub with water to use for toilets. I also have a stash of Dude Wipes for a "spit bath" effect.
Not having water is hard. Rose Red Homestead had a great idea for storing water. She stores in her empty quart jars. Brilliant! So when or if the electric is off or well is out you at least have water stored in your canning jars. You have to store them anyway may as well store them with water in them. Love your videos.
We have a well. Anytime power goes out, no water. Last week I was afraid we'd lose power due to the winter storm. I saved about four gallons of water in Mason jars and a trash can full for flushing. Didn't lose power but we had a burst pipe so I'm glad I had water saved.
Always refill empty canning jars with water. It comes in handy when you have no water. Plus any type of jug works well to store water in. Put them under your bathroom sink for flushing the toilets when water is out.
Becky I think it’s important to leave in the times when you think you messed up (dredging). It shows you don’t have to be perfect. It’s all about the doing. Being perfect is not going to make something better. Love your channel.
Your "Can Do" attitude is an inspiration! You perfectly have shown the very reason everyone needs to have food and water set aside incase of an emergency. Everyone has unexpected situations come up in their lives where these preps come in so handy! I also keep crockpot liners on hand for situations like yours. Saves on washing. So proud of you for making the best of a tough situation and shining like a star! You are a blessing and wonderful example to your family and subscribers.
Recently found (and loving) your channel! Commiserating about the storm ... we're in Portland, and we were without water AND electricity for a week! And still better off than several of our neighbors who had house and vehicle property damage from falling trees! It felt a little apocalyptic here for a bit, but no humans or animals were harmed, thank goodness! Hope your homestead is getting repaired and back on its feet!
I keep paper plates and plastic flatware to put food on. Stock up of water comes in handy during those times you have no water, cause you never know when it will happen.
When we know a storm is coming we collect water in 5 gallon buckets because the first thing to go is the electricity! Stay warm and send some snow/ rain to us here in New Mexico please!
Ohhh! 600k! 🎉 We were faced with possible frozen pipe problems over the last few weeks. Husband was almost upset with me for being so nonchalant about it. I just made sure to run laundry every day. Run the dishwasher every day, full or not. Made sure to fill up gal containers of water for the feral cats & our pets every time I emptied them so I was always ahead. I have plenty of bottled water & stored water on hand, and disposable cookware and dishes/silverware. I can’t prevent a water main break, so all I can do about the situation is be prepared to go without. 😊
You go girl. No running water for over a week at home but you carried on. Hopping houses. Being cooked for. Cooking for others. Showing how freezer cooking comes in handy. Prepping for future party. Blessed in deed. ❤
Becky I know to well what it's like for a well to quit. When we moved to our house the first year we had to have it redrilled then 25 yrs later needed a new pump installed. You are so resourceful. Enjoyed it all the same. Can't wait to see garden room paint job.
Oh Becky I felt your pain over not having running water. 2021, Texas froze over. The majority of the state lost electricity. Once everything thawed, city pipes started bursting. The pipes in the home, survived. Unfortunately i still didn’t have running water. Ever since then, I have kept 4 cases of bottled water and 8 gallons of water. Which I cycle thru like my can goods. Just an idea, maybe look into doing the same. My husband grew up in Washington and says it’s normal to lose power and/or water in winter, especially if you live on the hills
Yes! Love. You've earned it. You work so hard on your videos and it shows! I'm sure everyone here loves you (and the families) and always look forward to spending your days with you. God Bless and congratulations ❤
It’s a definite eye opener when things aren’t working. I am going to focus on my water supply for a bit. Glad you got to meet up with Bri last video! She’s such a beautiful person! Hang in there!
I always wonder where Acre is during all the videos, and I mean all the videos cuz I definitely binge on Becky... But it only makes me realize that ur support system is amazing and next level. U really are inspiring.
I feel so honored to have found this podcast 2 years ago. I may be sliding into 70 years old at the end of March and I still love learning new skills. If it wasn't for Becky, I wouldn't have learned to make freezer meals. And 💯 % I wouldn't have felt comfortable learning how to can! And I love it. Have a wonderful day everyone, Debbie Lavigne 😊
These videos are so helpful for getting an idea of what to keep stocked in a pantry to make quick meals! Helpful to someone like me who is wanting to built a stocked pantry or build meal ideas from similar ingredients. Thanks!
You are amazing!! You took the pantry challenge to a new level! :) Hope everyone is safe during this crazy weather. I love that you film all your prep work like chopping veggies and shredding cheese. It's pretty helpful for those of us who are still learning!!
A few years ago our pipes froze in Texas and I had to melt snow to have for flushing toilets. lol luckily we could fix our guest house fast and had that to shower and such while we repaired the main house.
Use the back side of your knife for scraping up garlic and the like from your board to avoid dulling. Also, I had a catering business, I've been cooking for more than 50 years; I've watched every Julia Child; I have hundreds of cookbooks that I have read; I did all the Time/Life series, read/used most of the NY Times, I've watched Food Network for years and especially love Ina. My ex brother in law was a master chef and my daughter went to Cordon Bleu, Paris. There's more I'm sure! Given all that, I've learned more from you in a couple days than all of them combined, Your kitchen is a master class in organization and your timing is extraordinarily efficient! Thanks for sharing!
This is where water storage becomes important. I have 5-6 50 gallon water barrels sitting empty because I haven't found the right place to store them. Our neighborhood did a challenge once where we went for 1 week without either water, electricity for cooking, or any food shopping. The only one I couldn't have handled was the water, and I still haven't learned, apparently, because my barrels are still empty. Good for you for rising to the occasion and allowing/ using family for assistance!
Having enough water stored for 2 weeks is the baseline recommendation of FEMA. That's not craxy prepper stuff, just basic supplies. There are smaller 7 gal plastic jugs thst walmart carries. If you drink soda, 2 liter soda bottles are also great for water storage. Or "canning" water as others have recommended. We used to live in a subdivision where there was construction nearby and the water was off for 2 days. Sometimes they forgot to notify people. No matter where you are, it can happen to you.
Josh's mom is a blessing. My Mother in law was pleasant but we always had disabilities that faused us isdues my entire marriage. I love my MIL but I Love watching you Becky! Homemade is phenomenal. You are such a blessing to me! .
Great video! I have been cooking for 60 years and I STILL can't do the wet hand/dry hand without messing up! Love what you do, keep up the wonderful work!
As a mom of 4 kids(now grown), how on earth do you make all the videos, and "work all day painting" with an infant?? What a fun daughter-in-law you are!
I get that I am now a single mother of two girls and don’t even get to watch tv much anymore. I used to watch Becky all the time until my husband committed suicide 2 days before Xmas. Now it’s so rough.. I must say though I do TH-cam too when I can but, I find it extremely tough to do the editing right now. My life is so overwhelmed. But, Becky does her videos early and might be busy for a week or two but, then gets time off because she uploads videos later then she videos them which gives her some time off during the week. And that’s why she does the freezer meals so she doesn’t have to cook all the time. She’s kinda hinted at this plus says a certain day and it’s a couple days later. Like she gives herself weekends off etc. nothing wrong with this however, it’s good to have a schedule so u do have time to urself.. before my husband was gone I didn’t have time to myself and now I really dont have time to myself. Becky does have a husband who is much involved in the infants life and works from home sometimes which allows her more freedom then say most families.. again not a bad thing wish I had that and now I really won’t get that being a single mother.. I don’t care how much social security pays me eventually it will never allow me the freedom as having two parents in the home vs one.. I wish I had what Becky has but, at the same time someone else’s life might appear happy in a video but, behind the scenes not all cupcakes and roses.. all I’m saying is what appears fancy in videos is not what reality may look like.. it’s rough with kids no matter what.. I love Becky’s videos and look to the content aspect of it because I know.. know one’s life is perfect.. mine isn’t, urs isn’t, Becky’s isn’t etc.. I can do a lot with two kids but, usually it’s not quiet it’s hard for me to make videos in stores because my kids don’t behave I have to do photos with voice over., trust me u try to make it work.. being a mother of 4 such as yourself. If u had a schedule with ur husband u too could make things work like Becky does.. I won’t have this option because I’m a single mother not by choice. Recently that is.. but, bless u for all that u do!! Ur a tough cookie to be juggling it all with 4kids I envy u!! Good luck to u dear take care..
@@AngelaJohnson-vq1mh praying for you and your family for peace, and comfort through this unimaginable loss! Hang in there you are doing an amazing job mama!
You have taught me to cook with my heart, Becky. My husband has loved three different meals i threw together by using "planned,-overs" for extra food. I had bariatric surgery and dont eat much. He Loves food and eating food for me is a chore. Your cooking frim the heart has taught me to use things I can eat snd he Loves it.
Thank you for working around your lack of water to spend time cooking with us! I certainly appreciate the effort you put into making all your videos. It's like spending time with a friend in the kitchen!!
There is nothing like a water disaster to make the pantry challenge work! Lol, just kidding 😂 We totally lost our well a couple of years ago. It really lets you know just how resourceful and hearty you are in those types of situations. You rocked this, as usual 😉👍 way to go Becky! BTW, congratulations on 600,000 subscribers! 🎉
Look at you grow! On your first ever live, I told you that you were going to skyrocket and you did just that! You are an amazing young lady, with amazing talents, and a pure joy to watch. Thank you for always sharing your journey with us. 👩🍳💐🙏❤️
Becky, I just want to thank you for being so committed and as transparent as you can be. What a challenging time with the weather and lack of water. You have an amazing support system. Congratulations on 600K. Looking forward to more videos. Hugs.
Love the title of this video!! Have you been watching Diane in Denmark?! :) I have been watching and watching your subscriber count and I am absolutely thrilled on congratulate you on 600,000 subscribers!! WOOHOO!!! You deserve every single one!
Is it weird that my heart is happy every time you wash the rice? Also, I'm currently making chicken broth in my pressure canner. This is my first time pressure canning my broth (properly) and I'm loving how easy it is with the electric canner. Ina might be your inspiration, but you're mine. I never would have tried canning if it wasn't for you and your channel. Thank you for being you!
600K subscribers!!🎉Woo hoo. I’m so happy for you. 600K people know where it’s at! You SO deserve this and much more. It’s so nice to see you’r channel grow. You DEFINITELY have what it takes. You are a perfect example of being able to overcome hurdles and you do it with so much grace. Awesome video. So nice you have both families coming together to help you out.❤️ I want to try that pull apart bread it looks delicious. Tfs. Enjoy the rest of your day.🤗
I hope by now your water is fixed. We live on well water, had have gone without a couple times, once weather related and once when we had all the pipes in our house redone. Very thankful for our generator that keeps well pump going when we needed. I remember the times of gathering snow, boiling it for dishwashing and such. Thankfully you have family near that you can visit during those times. Such great memories doing the challenge during a challenging time and at your mother-in-law's home and I think your moms.
I had water, but for a week+ 😷 I had to stay in my room, away from infected housemates. Luckily I have a mini fridge, but Meals in jars & freezer meals plus a hotpot saved me ❤
Found your show while prepping for canning meat. I am from the PNW but currently in Belgium. Im enjoying learning recipes that you freeze for later! Congrats on your subscribers and I hope to eventually retire and live in the PNW and grow all of my own food and farm like you!
Thank you for working around the struggle of having no water and thanks to your mother in law for letting you use her kitchen. Prayers your well is fixed.
I know this is an older video, but the crock pot liners are amazing for times like this. We live in a heavy hurricane area and lose power for days/weeks at a time. They save so much water on clean up. I don’t use them regularly but they come in handy.
love love love your channel, and your effervescent personality!! You always put me in the mood to get in the kitchen and get cooking!! Have you ever or would you consider showing us how to sharpen those kitchen knives of yours? They always seem so sharp! Or maybe Josh does it/ he could demo? .... Its a skill I've never mastered!!
I teach my fellow homesteaders that an empty jar and a full jar takes up the same space. So if you feel inclined fill up a few cases of jars with drinking water for cases like this and your current self will be grateful to your previous self once again! I love your channel and look forward to each new video. ❤
My question is, do you have to actually can the water? I hate to have to use new lids, as they've become so expensive. I use filtered water for drinking. TIA
I love how you just make something based on a concept and your experience. If it fails it is here for the world to see, but that doesn't stop you. It really gives us inspiration and permission to try, even if the results aren't what we expect. Thank you for keeping a smile on your face and a pleasant attitude for our day!
Pam here….keith and I are in process of a water capture system to have rain water for watering our beds. We have 2 large totes 250 gal each and we capture just the rain off our garage roof. We ran PVC to all our beds. But, we are stuck where we need to add the pump and filter for it. Got sidetracked by illness and hospitalizations for my hubby. And had a Solar roof project going in too. Hopefully this summer we can get that complete.
I'm happy to see you hit 600k subscribers, too!!! I've been watching your numbers go up over the last few months. Love your videos. They're so informative, and helpful. Have a wonderful day!!!!
Becky, as someone who grew up with a well and has lived in a home with a well the last 34 years, it is always best to keep water on hand. If you know a storm is coming you could simply fill the bathtub with water to flush toilets. Of course, if the power outage is because of someone hitting a power pole you can’t that but sometimes ice takes the lines down and it can last for day. But you should always keep water on hand. Other than a cup of coffee each morning, I drink water exclusively (tap water), so I have to have water! Some times you just have to go buy water. We also keep a supply of paper plates, bowls, napkins, and utensils on hand. We use these for cookouts anyway. Both my husband and I have very large families so it necessary. You should add these to your storage for next time.
I'm going to need the link to that jar lid lifter! My water is out, too! My past self purchased 8 each of the 5 gallon water jugs from beprepared and we were able to use those to get us through. We had enough to water our horse and our chickens as well. I'm pretty grateful to my past self! I learned about my future self and my past self from watching your videos 😊
I mentioned you getting water tanks for water storage before you started the big renovations and landscaping... maybe now you can put it on the priority list.
Wow, I live in Western Australia & when we roast carrots we peel & roast whole, I love love love roast sweet potato & roast Kent Pumpkin, ...we roast until the is a slight blackening, it's the crystallization of the sweetness of the potatoes and pumpkin wow it tastes yum yum yum have you ever tried that??? Your dinner looks absolutely yummy that meat....oh yummm ❤❤
Bless your hearts, that is a long time to have no water in the house! You did so well though, and what wonderful foods you were able to still put on the table. Thank goodness for friends and family to help you guys out!
Girl! And that's why we keep stuff stocked. That's why we keep Water on hand, a full pantry, and freezer meals that we can pull from and eat with! Cause you never know what's going to happen! Hope your water is back, as always, it was a great video with or without water. 🎉
Great video. I have been cooking for a long time, but I learn new things from you all the time. I had a laugh when you opened your mother-in-laws dishwasher. She had the same two Tupperware colanders in her dishwasher that are sitting in mine right now waiting to be washed. I have had those for probably 40 years.
We also were out of water for a week during the most recent winter storm in our area. I can definitely relate to the creative solutions that have to come with that. Thank you for your positivity. You have helped me through a bad day more than I can express. Thank you for being you and for inspiring me for my future homestead.
Yay! Congratulations on your 600K subscribers! I'm so happy for you! It so so well deserved! I love your channel and watch every video. Even though I'm tube fed, so I don't cook or eat, I love your cooking videos and especially your gardening videos. I love gardening! My garden is full of flowers and a few water ornaments. When my health allows me, I love to do some weeding in the flowerbeds or just enjoy sitting in the garden and watching the birds and butterflies. Hopefully, your water supply is working again! Saying hello from the Netherlands! 🤗🇳🇱
My local mom and pop grocery store has a deli/bakery department. For the past 20+ years, they have allowed me to buy the same parchment paper they buy for their bakery. I get 1000 sheets that I cut in half to fit my half-sheet pans. A case costs me less than $40. A great savings compared to normal retail parchment.
What a bummer not having running water! We had to replumb both our water and gas lines in this old house of ours. It took about three weeks to get everything put back together! Ugh! Funny how we can learn to improvise!
600,000, WOW BECKY. when I started watching you, you had about 120,000 subscribers. You are on your way to achieving great things. I can’t wait to see where your sweet personality and wonderful cooking skills will take you. You inspire people every time you walk into your kitchen. You are just so genuine. May God continue to bless you with new ideas and the continued health to come up with new and wonderful recipes. I’m looking forward to your summer 2024 garden and preservation videos. Lots of love from Debbie from Missouri. 💕💕
In Louisiana we also fill up milk jugs, but freeze them in case we lose electricity during a hurricane. I also have 7 Gallon water jugs that stack so if I know we might lose water we can fill them up...fill up your bath tub for toilet flushing and other misc. needs... Becky look for a copy of The River Road cook book for cajun food :) It's a winner!
Becky - ALL your meals looked delicious but WOW, the crock pot roast looked INCREDIBLE!! I agree with the other commenters - the terrible weather and issues arising from it would give so many the excuse to eat out, and not make a video. You never cease to amaze me; your hard work ethic and resilience is inspiring! ............... Now I'm off to watch the last freezer meal video again so I can learn to make that amazing-looking roast! Thank you!
I live just down the river from you, and that winter storm was no joke! We were either iced in or snowed in all but a few days. I was grateful for my food hoarding tendencies and well stocked pantry and freezer so I could do my own "pantry" challenge. Loving all the recipe ideas for using up more stuff!

And also I MUST say, I have learned ALOT of cooking knowledge from watching YOU in the kitchen as well. Especially regarding canning. MUCH LOVE MY FRIEND 😮& HAPPY FRYING!

If I know we are going to have a storm that may knock out our power (pump on well need electricity), I'll fill the bathtub with water to use for toilets. I also have a stash of Dude Wipes for a "spit bath" effect.
Congratulations on 600k subs! It's always a great day for a Becky video.
Not having water is hard. Rose Red Homestead had a great idea for storing water. She stores in her empty quart jars. Brilliant! So when or if the electric is off or well is out you at least have water stored in your canning jars. You have to store them anyway may as well store them with water in them.
Love your videos.
Becky doesn't have any empty canning jars 😂
So true!@@rjg5743
We have a well. Anytime power goes out, no water. Last week I was afraid we'd lose power due to the winter storm. I saved about four gallons of water in Mason jars and a trash can full for flushing. Didn't lose power but we had a burst pipe so I'm glad I had water saved.
Always refill empty canning jars with water. It comes in handy when you have no water. Plus any type of jug works well to store water in. Put them under your bathroom sink for flushing the toilets when water is out.
I watch these videos for the eyes when you try a dish. The big wide eyed "yum!!" look always brings me joy.
Congratulations on the 600k subscribers! My husband and I love watching you!
Thanks so much
Becky I think it’s important to leave in the times when you think you messed up (dredging). It shows you don’t have to be perfect. It’s all about the doing. Being perfect is not going to make something better. Love your channel.
I constantly mess up when dredging things. Just can't keep one hand dry. Glad I'm not the only one.
Love how you adapted that bread recipe!
You have most certainly grown a lot as a video producer... happy to have been on the journey with you.. look forward to your content every time..
I love your mother in laws kitchen. It’s beautiful. Some great recipes too..
Wow! Not only a pantry challenge but a no water challenge! Good job Becky!
Amazing! Am addicted to your channel! I real like your contents and how natural you are in front of the camera with us❤. Keep on keeping on! 🙏😊
I think she has a "nanny" which is awesome
I feel so honored to have found this podcast 2 years ago. I may be sliding into 70 years old at the end of March and I still love learning new skills. If it wasn't for Becky, I wouldn't have learned to make freezer meals. And 💯 % I wouldn't have felt comfortable learning how to can! And I love it. Have a wonderful day everyone, Debbie Lavigne 😊
Same here only I turn 70 in May :)
We use old gallon milk jugs, filled with water for toilet flushing water. Yes, it was great when pump was not working.
A few years ago our pipes froze in Texas and I had to melt snow to have for flushing toilets. lol luckily we could fix our guest house fast and had that to shower and such while we repaired the main house.
How nice of your mil to open her kitchen to you ❤ you look very comfortable there❤
Use the back side of your knife for scraping up garlic and the like from your board to avoid dulling.
Exactly you should always have two weeks supply for the size of your family stored of water
Your In Laws are awesome to let you come take over part of their home for you to cook and record as well. I hope everyone is well.
Happy Thursday, Y'all! Hope you all have a beautiful day! 🦋
Same to you
@@AcreHomestead Thank you ❤️
Josh's mom is a blessing.
Hmmm… maybe gather up snow in buckets to melt, to wash those absolutely necessary dishes with?
Hello Becky. Glad you loved the Hollar homestead. ❤..
As a mom of 4 kids(now grown), how on earth do you make all the videos, and "work all day painting" with an infant?? What a fun daughter-in-law you are!
And, she appears, showered! If she didn’t shower, I want her secret!
@@AngelaJohnson-vq1mhyou must be going through such a hard time… I hope you pull through the grief and the changes and l wish you nothing but peace….
So sorry for your loss 🤗🤗❤@@AngelaJohnson-vq1mh
@@AngelaJohnson-vq1mh praying for you and your family for peace, and comfort through this unimaginable loss! Hang in there you are doing an amazing job mama!
A suggestion to help lessen the stress when you have water issues is to put those empty jars you have to use and just can a bunch of water.
Congratulations on passing 600k subs!! It’s been so cool to watch you, your channel, and your garden grow over the past few years!
Most people would use the inconvenience you are experiencing as an excuse not to do a video, but you didn't miss a beat. Good job.
Where did Josh’s mum get her flour canister?
It is her job and income. That's the whole point
Exactly
@@nannettepeel6788that sounded a bit cutting and unnecessarily rude.
Pretty sure l go to work when an essential service is cut off/not available.
Rumikub is a family tradition since I was a little girl. Love it.
before next winter stock up on jugs and bottled waters
Having a minor disaster during a pantry challenge can show you where the holes are. You are now more aware of being prepared for a water outage.
Their tech setup for bets is so advanced yet so user friendly, love it
Yes!!!!! We play Rummikub too…..love it! So cool to see others play it too! Chicken looks amazing!
I had water, but for a week+ 😷 I had to stay in my room, away from infected housemates. Luckily I have a mini fridge, but Meals in jars & freezer meals plus a hotpot saved me ❤
In empty jars fill them with water and store them in your basement pantry, then you will have water, not tons, but you will always have good water.
Congratulations on 600k Becky, you deserve it. Love watching you
Found your show while prepping for canning meat.
TIA
Thank God for your past self and freezer meals. Looks yummy! Congrats, you will be past a million before you know it.
You are amazing! No running water??? That did not stop you! You just keep adjusting! I love that! Hope this week is better!
Becky I just love watching you cook. I always learn something new and you inspire me to try new dishes. God bless you!
Fantastic meals even though you had to move around to prep & cook them! Thanks to your family & you for sharing! Blessings to everyone 🤗🇨🇦
We had negative 14 feels like temps a week ago and I feel for you. Cooking with frozen pipes or drains is a challenge. You're an inspiration! Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. It's good to see how people make do in utility outages!
Congratulations on 600K subscribers!
Becky I watched you throughout my pregnancy and now my newborn baby likes to hear your voice on TV 😉
Thanks keep it up
We also were out of water for a week during the most recent winter storm in our area.
Let me tell you Becky you’re just amazing. You didn’t miss a skip, hop or jump. I love how you just roll with the flow. Thanks again. ❤
Your positive can do spirit is such an inspiration Becky. Thank you for being YOU and may God bless you and yours always. 🙏🏻✝️🌷
Yah 600k! I love your videos! Thank you so much!
wish i could taste that pull apart bread. you look so cozy at your mils house, what a retreat!
Thank you!
Love how you all worked together and worked through life with weather! Thank you for giving inspiration to us for living life in the storms.
I live just down the river from you, and that winter storm was no joke! We were either iced in or snowed in all but a few days. I was grateful for my food hoarding tendencies and well stocked pantry and freezer so I could do my own "pantry" challenge. Loving all the recipe ideas for using up more stuff!
