What are your go-to smell removal methods?
Smelling like 3 packs a day, that was hilarious! Gonna try some of these methods out, thanks!
I just got a beautiful king comforter set at garage sale for a cheap price, when I took it out when I got home it reeked of cigarette smell I wanted to throw up, I washed, and yes a lot better but still can faintly smell it, it's annoying, I will definitely try this method, thanks so much for posting
I purchased a nylon luxury bag on line and it wrecks smoke. Was so upset, I tried this method of having it out under the sun and it worked. Well after I washed the bag of course. Luckily the leather part was only 10%. Washing didn’t really worked but after I left it under the Sun; the smell went away. So glad I tried this method.
When someone who smokes wears a garment and washes it after they wear it, it usually won't smell like smoke. When you get a garment that has sat in a closet of a smokers house and hasn't been worn and washed for a long period of time is when it has that strong smell that is hard to get out. The same as a light colored garments worn by smokers and washed after wearing has no stains. If you let the same garment hang in the closet and rarely wear it will have smoke stains around the collar and on the sleeves and it is very hard if not impossible to get out.
Yup and especially where the edge of the clothing where it was hanging for years.
What do you do about a winter coat that cannot be washed? Dry cleaning is too expensive.
Isopropyl alcohol/water 50-50 mixture in a spray bottle. Dog beds human beds furniture carpets etc. knocks it out.
Also you can soak them in your washer by lifting the lid soak in soap and baking soda
Got a BDU jacket from a guy on ebay and when I opened up the package I physically backed away from the box. It was that bad gonna try this. hope it works.
Oh man! Hope it can help!
i got a jacket with patches on it, if i soak it in a bathtub with baking soda for abit and wash it by hand would baking soda hurt the patches?
Nice tips and how about the lining of the leather jacket?
Bout to try this on a hat, wish me luck
Thanks for the helpful tips leather jacket👌🇬🇧
Any suggestions on a blazer? Wool fabric and you can’t put all of that baking soda on because you can’t just throw it in the wash after. Thoughts?
Sun is good. Dry cleaning can help clean but doesn’t always help with smell. Hang it out in the wind for a few
Hours to migjt do it good.
I don't smoke I just set fires and my clothes smell bad
Now, how do you do that with books? Great videos fam
That's a really good question. I've never had to do it, but I'd imagine dryer sheets in between pages might help.
@@LootFam Hey man, so I just came up on 4 pairs of orange tab 517s and as Im listing them I realize they all reek of smoke so im back to your video
Gonna try baking soda in bags method after a day of sun, then vinegar wash after if needed before machine washing. thanks for the tips
Update: I put all 4 pairs in bags with baking soda all over and the next day I set them in the sun all day. Then I put them back in bags with baking soda and the next day washed them. They came out smelling pretty much the same as before.
So then I tried the vinegar and set one pair aside to compare at the end. 3 pairs went in a Rubbermaid filled with close to 50/50 white vinegar and water and soaked for about 24hrs. Then washed with all the vinegar solution from the tub. This effectively eliminated all smoke smell from the 3 pairs and the vinegar smell dissipated over a few days to a negligible level.
@@korpze206 interesting! Glad you got them cleaned! Great pairs.
I know this is an old comment. But you can get a small ozone machine and put it in a covered box with the books. Just don’t keep them in there for too long. Maybe an hour should be good. Ozone can break down materials, so you’ll want to watch out for that with this method.
Great Video
I bought some vintage bape and that shit smelled so bad
All Korn shirts should smell like cigarettes
Haha!
😂
AMEN
What would happen if you put the garments inside of a plastic tote filled with activated carbon/charcoal (not directly touching the charcoal of course)?
3 packs a day 😂😂😂
I thought I was a heavy smoker at 4 cigarettes and 2 joints a day but 3 packs a day oh my 😂😂😂😂
Vinager
Toss them in the freezer
Actually?
NEVER BUY things you think you will use at a garage sale from a smokers house!
