I only have VDJ and an antivirus on my DJ laptop. If you have other programs or apps on your laptop they can run in the background and interfere with your DJ software. Super gig !
I would look at your laptop specs for your audio issue. New serato stems take a lot of computing power Maybe LD systems does that at peak volume to protect itself 🤷♂️
Thanks for sharing great show. now on to the issues that you had with the music cut offs. where you Streaming those tunes, was there an update going on in the background, was STEMS analizing in prog. or is the actual File Corrupt. those are a few instances that i have encountered you may have one of those happen. just my thought hopefuly it serves of help. I feel like I drove right by this place on the Smoky Mountains when we visited a couple years ago. I bought those Rockville Totem Stands when they first came out. Most of my clients don't pay to add the moving heads/totems in so I hardly ever use them. Shure QLXD mics are very nice! I'm looking to upgrade to that series from my older Shure PGX Mics that are still going after 13 years of use!
the issues, i think are to do with the moving platters, I had issues with the rane one aswell, and decided to get rid of any equipment that has moving platters. the precise cause, who knows, it may be because your usb cable needs to be replaced maybe your usb port on the laptop is worn out and is a bit loose, maybe the time code is being interrupted somehow, could be a number of things ,but my conclusion is moving platter is more technology than you NEED, i went with the rev 5 for that reason.. static jogs means less that can go wrong, can still scratch, can still do everything, and it looks like it is moving too because of the light on it....

Hey Jay! Great stuff. Just discovered your channel, and you are on point! In terms of the skipping and freezes of audio, my opinion experience is that it is you laptop's cpu. If you are running more than serato OR you have an older laptop/low RAM, then you will experience these unintended effects. This can occur as well when the cpu/laptop gets very hot due to the environment/lights etc. Do some testing with another laptop and double check serato's cpu usage. Sometimes adjusting the buffer in settings can help, but at the cost of some latency. Now getting back on to you tube myself in a couple weeks. Nice to be inspired by you. Peace! @@DjJayBook I hear you. I moved to Mac and never looked back. The are some great Windows PC's out there but the hardware can be iffy. I recently upgraded my old 2015 macbook pro to an M1 used macbook air - just as a temporary measure until I got some more case - I don't want to change it! The M1 macbook takes Serato, streaming software and more at the same time and doesn't even break a sweat! The self cooling through the chasis and no fan means it stays really cool and don't need to to worry about heat unless I am in direct sunlight. The biggest annoyance is the lack of ports on it (only 2 usb C) but U use a dongle. Alternatively, if you haven't already, upgrade the RAM in the HP and the harddrive to SSD. Just throwing some stuff out there to see what might help...

Jay with this outdoor event, was there a long power wire connected to your system? Usually when they run long extension cords of 50 feet or more you tend to lose power or have power issues. The voltage may have not been sufficient. I recommend you get yourself a voltage meter or a voltage regulator for these outdoor gigs. I hope that helps.....
i know what happen and how to fix that first you could be running to many things at once something is pulling to much power and 2nd one is how powerful is you laptop ? 3rd thing is is there any thing else running on your laptop , updates ? virus software ? turn them off and lastl thing run all your software from ex hard drives dont stream them !!!
I replaced my macbook, I previously used a 2015 macbook and would get drop outs from time to time - i ended up finding that when the WiFi setting was on, I would get drop outs. It would be better when WiFi was on & I was connected to a wifi source. And it was best and I had no drop outs when WiFi setting was turned off completely.
I found this out as well with the WiFi and switch my windows pc to my m1 (@event because of switch to my Rev 7). My tech guy believes it was something with Microsoft bc after the 1st drop, CPU kept requesting to sign in Microsoft acct.
Other programs can try to do updates or even try to connect to the internet. It is best to only have your DJ software and a antivirus on your laptop. I have been doing it that way for15+ years now.
Adj focus spot 4z were connected to wolfmix but rev 7 is more hands on that srt so needed more of a sync mode. I will probably be reprogramming them soon
dam men I hate that, so I got my Prime 4 connected to an external mixer that is also connected to my iPad with djay pro AI, so if my Prime 4 gives me a problem I can switch to it fix the problem and get back to djing.
Regarding your issue's from the event it might be time to upgrade to a new laptop I had the same issue using my old Mac I now have the Apple M1 Pro and haven't had no issues at all God bless.

I had the airstream and it was good but it would lose connection sometimes. Thats what made me research and invest in the wolfmix

I replaced my macbook, I previously used a 2015 macbook and would get drop outs from time to time - i ended up finding that when the WiFi setting was on, I would get drop outs. It would be better when WiFi was on & I was connected to a wifi source. And it was best and I had no drop outs when WiFi setting was turned off completely.

Tech man also suggested to remove iTunes & Amazon from the new m1. He believes they're interfering with software (when online) while I was DJing.

I am not fond of having the microphone receiver under the controller,it blocks airflow on a lot of them.

I don't know 100% but it could be. If your controller has a fan underneath it like mine does,I'd keep that area open.
