I was born in WestHam back in the early 60s in Stratford the biggest shop was called Boardmans I can only say it was like the Grace Brothers store from are you being served
I lived in Stratford for 36 years from birth, crime was the number 1 issue, also Newham Council were rubbish and so was Newham General Hospital. I am surprised how much property prices are now since the late 90's knowing how dangerous it is to live in Stratford
What's the cost of the same 1 bedroom apartment in the low cost areas of Stratford. Those of us who can afford to rent in high end areas or buy property also need info about affordable housing.

I now live in old Stratford, right by the shopping centre. It's not so bad, feels a bit dodgy but it's alright. Lots of police about too.

There is a plethora of gang life in Stratford. I work there and see it all the time. Would hate to live there.
