I love your videos! In this one though the sponsored part took almost half of the whole video. A little too long for my liking. A title disclaimer like “summer trends … feat. Lillysilk” would’ve made it more clear that a big portion of the video involved Lillysilk. ☺️
Lillysilk is all over the place right now , sponsering all the influencers ...at least the ones I am following LOL . Loved your video though, always very inspiring .
Thanks for catching us up on trends. Loved seeing you move around to different spots for this video -added a lot of interest having a changing backdrop.
This was a great video for me to inspire to use my existing items to work with styling some similar looks. We jump from winter straight into summer and I am totally caught unprepared for the 80s temps we had over the weekend. I have recently thrifted some great brown items that will work for me now. Great looks for keeping your cool when the weather gets hot. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.
Seems like all the “Influencers “ are featuring Lily Silk today. You, middle age minx, Christina Mychas…and you all choose different outfits that look perfect for each of you. I haven’t yet ordered anything but the variety and quality are certainly peeking my interest.
I have not been very pleased with my Lily Silk purchases. I love my blue and white stripe blouse, but the other two blouses I got are nearly impossible to get the wrinkles out after washing.
I had a bad experience with Lily Silk. One of the shirts ripped 1st time in the wash. Handwash cycle. I asked them if I could exchange it for another one. They wanted details on how I washed it including me taking pictures of my wash machine and shirt. After sending requested documents they offered me a 20% discount on my future order. No thanks! Their prices are too high for the quality of the fabric. Fast fashion made in China.
Drape clothes are very flattering especially with the light summer fabrics. I also love cowboy boots but in Athens is a big no, as it's really hot although it's still spring... Great video!
Three years ago, I ventured into fringe and combat boots... I parted ways with those items... Cleanline classics work for me... Thanks for another great video, Leonie...😊❤😊
@Thestyleinsider. I really wanted a pair of doc Martin's, but got sidetracked and bought something else... I would wear fringe in a belt, but I don't want another jacket...
Loving the styles and will be looking for this material in my future purchases. I can't wait to wear asymmetrical sleeved tops! Sometimes, I like that I don't fit into the standard clothing.
Discount codes have to be exact, with caps, lower-case, punctuation, etc. or the brand’s website won’t accept them as valid. So does your LS discount code in the description box [20STYLE] include the brackets you show there or not? I don’t have the specific bracket style you use, either. Thanks for clarifying this, dear Leonie. I’ve tried unsuccessfully to use discount codes where the influencer didn’t use the exact format required. I love Lily Silk, and 20% is a great discount.❤
I don’t mind sponsorships, I like to get the discount codes, and the links to items I like. Everyone has bills to pay, please just ignore the criticism you get for supporting your family in this way! No one can afford to work for free! Yes, I know that Lily Silk is doing lots of sponsorships right now, so what? I don’t understand why people object to that, either.
Thanks SO much for your understanding Kimberly - I really appreciate it. I don't really understand people complaining as it's also very easy to fast forward through too! Perhaps people don't realise this is how we get paid for our work?
Grecian draped dresses uh I love that. I saw that trend on runway, and I added to my wishlist, but I haven’t really seen those dresses in stores 🤔 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
I’ve never stopped wearing cowboy boots since the 70/80s - love ‘em!! I bought a brown leather biker jacket about 3 years ago - God only knows why 😂😂😂 so that will come in handy. But I will not be wearing peplums - even I know when one is too old for those 😂😂😂😂
Hate one shoulder tops look like you are missing a bit , yay to party bags 🥰 yay to chocolate brown, yay to cowboy boots, nope to peplums and draping 🙈
Hi Leonie. Love your videos- very down to earth but stylish. Given that you’re in NZ, can you also do updates for seasonal trends in the southern hemisphere? There’s so much info for the north since that’s where it all begins, but not so much downunder. Hearing about upcoming summer trends as we head into winter gets frustrating 😅
The reason I focus on the northern hemisphere is because that is where most of my audience is based. It can take a few days to create a single video so it really isn't great use of my time sadly :(
As a single mother of two I am delighted when I get great brands like Lilysilk wanting to sponsor my videos. Sadly I'm not in a position to work full time creating content without making money to support my family.
@@Thestyleinsider. and neither are most youtubers. Ignore the haters, most of us appreciate the fact that you are getting sponsors, it means you'll be able to stick around for the long haul. Those that don't appreciate it, clearly have no idea how much time and effort your videos take, or that this is actually your job and Lillysilk is part of your paycheck.
@@Thestyleinsider. of course! It’s excellent that they offer sponsorships so content creators can make a living. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything! Keep up the good work!
@@EvelynM-vlogs Sending agreement and my support for your comments Evelyn and @Lavaluz1. It's good to speak up and send appreciation when there's a bit of a pile-on! (Kath)
I seem to always forward thru your videos because of your sponsers.. I pay wxtra on you tube to not have commercials..this is why I dont subscribe and it seems Um not alone here.. I literally had to forward it halfway through the video.. Is would love to see more content and less Sponsored items.
Thanks for your feedback but as a single mum of two this is how I support my family and I am immensely grateful for my sponsors. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position where I can work for FREE and don't know too many people who are. I strive to make my sponsored content as valuable as possible and if it doesn't serve a viewer it's easy to fast forward past.
Love your videos, although I think the sponsorship-part takes up too much of this one. It's almost 7 min out of a 15 minute video. That seems disproportionate. Advertising shouldn't take up almost half of the content. Otherwise, keep up the good work 🙂
Yes I didn't need to make it that long but I felt there was value in some of the outfits shown etc and I was enjoying myself so it ended up longer than needed - eek!
@@Thestyleinsider. I really liked your modelling here of the slimmer, slightly cropped grey pant and the black cashmere t-shirt. The silhouette has ease and femininity. Reminds me of the classic Jackie O shot when she's working for the publishing house in NYC. (close fitting white knit, cropped pants, sunglasses.) She too is a single mother to two children at this time. (Kath)
There's even a type of fabric called "tropical wool". It's just a very lightweight wool fabric. Merino wool can actually feel sort of cool on your skin. I'm speaking from my own experience. LilySilk is all over the influencers at the moment... this is the 4th one this week...😮
Good to know!
But technically the lilysilk is a part of summer trends. So it fit in with the title😊
Agree 💯. Lilysilk has been rolling it out and it couldn’t be more obvious.
I love it it’s not that long. Seems picky to me.
Every body is sponsored by Lily Silk this week!!! 🧐
I didn't realise that but it def seems to be the case LOL
I don’t mind the sponsorship. I feel like your ‘ships are classy and quality. Love all the tips! 💕

are cashmere and wool really "summer"?
